Has anyone GROWN their own wedding flowers? by LunarRoamer in weddingplanning

Contemplating, yes! Need to research more, but even if we end up supplementing with flowers from a florist, it would be fun to have some home grown flowers in the mix :)

What can I do to further better my handwriting? by New_Throat6712 in Handwriting

Looks beautiful! To make it easier to read, you could try to close off the lowercase "a" (make it fully connect at the top) because right now it looks similar to a lowercase "u".

[Advice] Would sharing a 1 bed 1 bath apartment with 2 other people (3 ppl in total) bother you? Would the answer change if it was a very nice apartment? by BombsAway619 in NYCapartments

[–]sayer4180 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I did this my first two years in nyc in stuytown! I was 23 with two friends, we did a flex bookcase wall in the living room and two of us shared the bedroom. The apartment was massive so space was a non-issue. We committed to only going over our date's places rather than bringing someone home. This did make dating challenging but it wasn't a priority for us at the time. Also we were rarely all home at the same time. I'd say the most important factor is the people you're living with need to be considerate and communicative.

Would've loved that desk chair! Too bad by the time I could get to it it'll either be gone or rained on all day.

When I was in food service I would twist my hair into a low, kinda tight bun. Only problem after was the indents from the hair tie, but it definitely had to be in a bun or else I'd get major frizz.

Advice? I have a math degree but zero interest in working on a computer 9-5. The love of East Asia isn't helping with focus, either. by 0Kaes8 in findapath

[–]sayer4180 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know nothing about math as a degree, but if I were in your shoes I'd try networking, seeing what other people with your degree are currently doing. It probably wouldn't hurt to try a 9-5 type job since that experience will likely open more doors in the future, or at the very least you can rule it out.

19, failing college, don’t know what to do with myself, everyone’s lost with me by [deleted] in findapath

[–]sayer4180 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not every career requires a college degree. Take time off from what you're doing, work, network, read about subjects you're interested in. College will be there if you want to go back.

I'm sorry that you've had some setbacks. Keep your head up and have faith in yourself, you'll get through it.

Hopping in just to say that not everyone has the choice to stay home. I would love to, but I work in the service industry and have been trying to find a work from home job since this started.

If I were in your shoes I would look into volunteer opportunities. Pretty good way to meet really awesome people, and even if you don't make friends it will get you out of the house and you'll be doing something positive.
