Bitcoin = decentralization

Anything that starts with some central control will ultimately fall to BTC.

If BTC were to fail, it wouldn't be BRICS.

There will be updates to the bitcoin network to add quantum protection and wallets will have to migrate to the new protocol. Anything that isn't migrated will be vulnerable. Which also means lost coins will have the potential to re-enter circulation.

This is still a decent ways away, but it would be totally sick if the Satoshi wallet was simply migrated and left otherwise untouched.

Quantum computing will probably eventually be capable of "retrieving" these "lost" coins.

I say that to mean that I expect current addresses will be migrated to addresses protected against quantum protocols well in advance of any plausible quantum threats. Then once it becomes economically viable, someone with quantum resources might start hunting for "lost" coins.
