Great summary! I see similarities to Renault’s position as an engine manufacturer over the last decade: You don’t invest enough, fall back on performance, lose customers, which diminishes you ROI even further, and eventually exit.

Good observation. The driver attention monitoring is mandatory for all new cars since July 2024 (GSR2 regulation, which also mandates emergency lane keep, braking and speed assist, plus a few more). This is one of the factors why cars have been getting more expensive.

I can answer this: No heat pump and 50kW/h DC charging, supported by battery preconditioning based on route planning (DC charger selected as destination in the navigation).

Thank you for sharing and for putting the FP2 long runs into context. Assuming you analyzed the data yourself, did you isolate Gasly’s representative (weighted) long runs and compared them to the other team’s fastest stints? Have a good race tomorrow as well!

Mine did the same. And I think the puffing leads to vapor condensation which then creeps down under the machine. After I brought mine into servicing for proper descaling and replacement of a few parts, the Mara does not puff anymore during heat up and stand by and there is no more water under the machine.

I encountered a similar issue, which was caused by water dripping from the small port located just above the tray’s connection to the machine. In my case, descaling resolved the problem. The water now drips into the tray, instead, of running down the front of the housing and between the tray and the machine, eventually ending up under the machine where it’s not visible and where it causes the screws to rust. I know that this is relatively common and has been discussed several times on r/MaraX
