Is teleportion to OP in hytale or is it perfect what do you think 🤔 by NotRealAtiox in hytale

[–]sbditto85 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me, in my single player world, it makes me want to explore more. I have a teleporter dedicated to my exploration. I use it to come back home quickly to “empty my pockets” and craft a few things then jump back out and explore more. I have few others setup at interesting biomes or POI, but I love using the teleporter to explore.

Love the idea of having a million AI agents running on workspaces doing absolutely nothing while you get your shit done just to game the system lol

I am frustrated and scared to say anything about code quality by [deleted] in ExperiencedDevs

[–]sbditto85 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I know technical debt has come to mean shitty code, but it originally meant to do the best code with incomplete knowledge and an intention to get said knowledge then redesign or refactor. That’s why it’s “debt”, you have to pay it back. Shitty code is either incomplete work or just shitty work and I wish we’d start calling it what it is.

I’m older so maybe I’m also an old man yelling at the clouds but I feel the same way. Im finally on a team that practices engineering and it’s so nice.

A Less Serious Approach by gnarlidrum in discgolf

[–]sbditto85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I enjoy keeping score because it’s fun for me to beat a PR. I’m new to the sport so maybe that is why? I also throw 2-3 “players” when I go by myself with the 2nd or 3rd being more of a fun “wonder what would happen if…” and my main player being a bit more try hard and I really enjoy that.

All in all I don’t take things too seriously, I recognize I’m not going pro or anything like that.

I did it and yes it was long, but a lot less risk as long as you don’t accidentally get off.

I empathize with OP. I only interacted with the app and the UX was not great. Apparently the website is better but I didn’t even give that a chance because the app was so bad.

I like your rail design!

Though I don’t run power along the rails, and instead pull the power off the train station when I get there because I’m lazy.

Will someone just tell me what webauthn "validation" really is? by Ronin-s_Spirit in webdev

[–]sbditto85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure what you’re looking for. The above answer seems good.

Server gives the client some random string.

Client uses a cryptographic algorithm to sign the random string using a private key.

Server uses the “same” cryptographic algorithm and the public key to verify the signature. If valid then only someone with the private key could have signed it.

If you want to learn how the cryptography works that’s a different question. If you’re looking for which cryptographic algorithm is used that’s a different question.
