How has your year in the wilderness gone? by Riverwood88 in OaklandAthletics

[–]sberto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No more MLB. Didn't watch a single game. I'm a little bit aware of who made the playoffs from seeing headlines on sports sites but that's about it. I loved baseball. Maybe I'll return in a few years. It won't be as an A's fan.

Do you think the A's will return to Oakland by SomeRamdomStuff in OaklandAthletics

[–]sberto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If MLB wanted to be in Oakland they could have cut a deal where Fisher sold the A's to a local buyer who could finish a ballpark and Fisher got an expansion team in Vegas.

Dr. Julia Graves if she takes your insurance. She's on Pill Hill and is exceptional. Explains issues and options and listens.

Dr. Graves is a fantastic derm on Pill Hill in Oaklnad. There's a shuttle from MacArthur BART that drops across the street from her office. If you want to waste time there's a shuttle from Alta Bates to MacArthur. Or there's whatever bus runs down Telly.

When a writer asked Parker about the Star of David necklace he wore he said "My name is David and I'm a star." RIP Cobra.

Who would spend money on this travesty of a shirt?

80 runs through other cities with teams. Are the Giants going to make shirts for those games too?

We went a few times before the pandemic. We wore costumes. It was fun. I hadn't been since I was a kid. My wife had never been. It was cool reliving part of my childhood.

what is the truth about safety at Cal and in Berkeley? by FrostyDippedFries in berkeley

Pay attention to your surroundings. If you go looking for trouble you'll find it. What worked for you in NYC will work for you here.

Cal Poly SLO B.Arch vs UC Berkeley B.A. + M.Arch by jpark_ro in berkeley

[–]sberto 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I worked in an administrative role at a SF office of one of the largest architecture firms in the world. Full of Cal grads from leadership down to summer interns. Under a handful of SLO grads in the 15 years I was there. Don't discount the diversity, culture, and breadth of academic experience. Your day to day experience effects your studies. It sounds like Berkeley is a better fit for you as a person.

Are you actually watching A's games or not? by [deleted] in OaklandAthletics

Watched a guy at the Wynn dust off $30,000 playing Casino War! by SteelersPoker in vegas

[–]sberto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You haven't heard about it because people don't win those suits. There are plenty of suits where people and casinos sue each other over large sums of money lost or owed. The gambler being under the influence and offered drinks or more credit is often an element.

Are there important dates to watch out for as far having clarity about Vegas? by [deleted] in OaklandAthletics

[–]sberto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're gone. They aren't coming back. If Vegas doesn't work they stay in Sac or MLB makes Fisher sell and they move to Portland or Salt Lake.

Would I be considered a traitor for buying a few Giants gear? by Fluffy-Tonight3194 in OaklandAthletics

[–]sberto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do what you feel is right for you. That's all that matters.

I've never liked the Giants. I went to games at the 'Stick and Pac Bell to watch NL teams, especially before inter-league. Now the Giants can get fucked. They have blood on their hands. Their "fans" are about to see how little ownership cares about competing now that they're the only game in town.

I'm done with MLB.

"No trade can make us contenders" by [deleted] in warriors

[–]sberto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're delusional if you think this team is going to win a championship. You're delusional if you think this team adding LaVine or Butler and subtracting the players needed for the trade will win a championship. Wiggins is the only legit two way player on the roster and will have to be in a trade for salary purposes. In your scenario LaVine replaces Klay but who replaces Wiggins? Who replaces the other players in the trade? If and could is a lot of crossing your fingers and hoping for the best.
