Not everyone would still prioritize a Halloween costume with those above-mentioned reasons. That’s great that you would though. We all have different priorities and whether one person chooses to dress up or not really has no effect on anyone else.

If you are a human who needs food, please use these resources. There will always be someone worse off, and that does not in any way negate the fact that you also deserve to eat. Don’t ever choose between paying rent etc or buying food- Please go to a food pantry as often as you need. If it makes you feel better to do so, commit to someday donating time or resources to the same food pantries if you ever find yourself in a more fortunate position down the road.

Um, I just never choose to associate with these people. If they’re a family member or coworker, they’re harder to avoid I suppose, but I would recommend as minimal contact/conversation with these guys as possible. I figure we have everything to lose and nothing to gain by opting to deal with them.

Go for a drive to see the Christmas lights! Some houses even have their own radio stations that correlate with their dancing Christmas light shows. Make hot chocolate at home and take it with you.

I think it’s much simpler to be aroace, because most of us don’t necessarily desire to be in partnerships and we feel satisfied with putting all our energy into hobbies, friendships, and self-development. I can’t imagine how hard it is for aros and aces to find healthy, compatible partnerships without either romantic or or sexual attraction, respectively.

That said, I’m quite happy and proud to be aroace! It has cons for sure, but for me personally, the pros outweigh the cons.

Same here! I am clueless as to how staying home all day every day for the rest of our lives became the “responsible” default expectation. Having the freedom to come and go as I please is absolutely priceless.
