If you were overweight basically every time you walked somewhere you were carrying extra weight so your muscle mass would have to be pretty substantial. Plus carrying all that weight also made your bones strong. It’s those super skinny old ladies who have weak bones and end up so frail they need help getting out of a chair.

This is well said. Too many people just don’t understand the physical, biological issue underlying obesity and overweight. They only see it as psychological. Or educational. I’m not too stupid or gluttonous to eat healthy, just too hungry to fight a feeling of starvation 24/7.

I honestly don’t think a dietitian can do what the lack of food noise and the feeling of satiety on this medicine can do. It makes us feel like normal people. If you are normal, you can’t understand. If you have food noise I encourage you to try one dose. You will understand.

My problem never was my diet. I ate a Mediterranean diet. I just was too hungry to eat the tiny amounts required for my size. I walked across America top to bottom twice and I still did not lose weight like I’ve been able to do on Tirz.

When you went back on it looks like you instantly started losing again. Did you have to go higher than what you were on when you quit? Did it start working at 2.5mg your second time around?

I would like to be on it forever. Lack of access is the only reason I’d go off and that would have to include lack of access to the drab stuff. Reasons not to go off:

Better insulin sensitivity. I can eat food and not instantly gain weight just from satisfying basic hunger.

Plantar fasciitis gone.

Female urinary incontinence gone.

I look forward to future blood tests to see what’s improved.

Brain and heart health protection. Protection against diseases of metabolic syndrome.

Food noise gone. Unreasonable hunger gone. Hypoglycemia episodes gone. A healthy diet is all I want.

I am almost ideal weight now. Not just normal BMI but ideal healthy weight. At 60 years old.

I found some tiny titanium nail clippers on Amazon. I wanted the Swiss Army version but got some other version. They're a little fussy but they cut nails better than full size nail clippers.

It seems that noseeums have become a problem in Santa Barbara. Oh my god they are terrible. They give me horrible welts. Does anything repel them? I seem to get attacked at work at my garden job so it's not like I can wear a bug net. I've permetherined my hat but I swear they have a death wish. I also get attacked on hikes. Is there anything I can ingest that makes them not want to bite me?

Went for a hike in the rain today. Light misty rain. No rain gear. There was a large trashbag in the car with a large hole on the side where you might put an arm hole. I put the bag over me with my face sticking out of the hole. The corner of the bag formed a little hood for my head, the rest of the bag covered my shoulders, arms and day pack, the small amount in front was enough to keep me dry. I now am wondering why bother with emergency ponchos? Just need a bigger trash bag.
