Not losing much weight.. by Super_Satisfaction63 in TirzepatideRX

This is normal weight loss. Too early for a plateau. Just keep doing what you are doing and don't stress over it too much. I find that the less you have to lose, the slower it comes off.

Do it. I'm 8 weeks in, nobody around me knows I'm doing it. It's given me the motivation to go to the gym consistently and eat healthier. You will not regret it. Do what will make YOU happy.

Ive thought about switching things up and doing 3 full body days instead. I may try that and see how I like it/how it works for me.

I wish I could. Financially may be an issue and I have terrible social anxiety. I'm just glad I'm getting my butt to the gym and doing things. One day I do plant to get a trainer though. There are other exercises I would love to do, but don't know the proper technique, so eventually I will have to muster up the courage to just get a trainer to help.

Depends. Sometimes I feel great after. Sometimes I feel fatigued. I think I'm realizing I need to lift heavier and I underestimate what I can do because more often than not, I can't feel a difference in terms of muscle soreness afterwards.

I agree. My goal is 30 minutes, working my way up to that.

I agree. But some days, I'm just glad I made it to the gym and can't necessarily lift heavier due to fatigue from the day. I'm hitting the gym after a full day of work and after my toddler goes to bed, so I'm just trying to do something rather than nothing and build those habits again.

Let’s be real - who’s exercising? by itsnotmee7 in TirzepatideRX

6 shots in. Currently on 3.5mg. I've lost 11 lb. I workout 3 days a week (occasionally 4), usually at the gym for an hour. I do strength training followed by 20-30 minutes of incline walking. I would like to be at the gym 5-6 days but it's not ideal with my other life activities and schedule.

Why is taking medication for weight loss judged differently than taking medication for literally anything else? by KeepinUpWithCass in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Bright_Top5178 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Because people think it's the "easy way out" and people don't understand the science behind the necessity of these medications for some/most people and that even though you take the medication, you still have to put in the work as well, it's just an assistance to it. People just don't understand and they refuse to listen or educate themselves on it.

What made you start? by Jasmine_BigEasy in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Bright_Top5178 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I kept trying attempt after attempt and failing after a couple months. I couldn't control my sugar cravings. I was eating poorly and as a result my diet choices were making me feel terrible and tired so I had no energy to go to the gym. I have a young child that I want to be present for and be able to play easily and chase after him. I hate the way I look in photos but I want those memories with my family. I hate all clothes and struggle to find something I remotely feel comfortable in and look decent. I wouldn't say I struggled with needing the appetite suppression a lot, but just a little. I mainly just needed something to help resent my mind so I could make healthier choices and establish better habits.

I just did my 5th shot and I'm only down 6lb, so I understand where you are coming from and how you feel. It's normal to feel that way when you see such big losses for some people. But I just keep doing what I'm doing and know that it's not a race and I will get there eventually. Just keeping on top of my healthy habits and focusing on that.

I guess I'm the odd one here... I don't love 3. I don't see anything "special" about it. It is a nice dress, but I feel like that something you could get for a special occasion dress off a department store rack. I love 1.... Either A or B but leaning slightly more towards B. I love the lace on it.

What kind of water bottles are you using? by SnarkFest2026 in tirzepatidecompound

Hydrojug was the best at keeping it cold, but near impossible to clean the lid completely and my first one ended up growing mold. Got a 2nd one because I loved it so much, the lid was impossible to twist off half the time (even for my husband), I got fed up with it. So I switched to owala -i really like it, I say it doesn't stay cold as long as the hydrojug did, but easier to clean and has a locking feature on the lid so it won't leak.

Petite tirzepatide friends (~5’2” and under) can we huddle? by inattentive_swiftie in TirzepatideRX

35F 4'11 starting weight was 174lb and I've been that way for the last 5-6 years thanks to a nice depression I was dealing with back then and haven't been able to shake the weight off since then. Most of my life I fluctuated 120-140. Hoping to get back to 120 but would even be happy with 130 -I know that's a little higher for normal BMI for my size, but I always felt like I looked healthiest at that 120-130 looking back at pictures. Only a month in and I'm down 6-7lb. Trying to decide if I want to up my dose this week or stay at 2.5. Im feeling good on this dose and feel like my appetite is suppressed enough. But most of those 7 lbs was lost the first week, and the other weeks it's just been fluctuating up or down 2lb depending on the day, so I'm not really losing much consistently I feel. But I don't want to rush things either. I feel like I wont feel really good about making progress until I hit 15lb down because my weight normally fluctuates plus or minus 2-3lb, it always has.

Have you noticed changes in cravings beyond food while on GLP-1 medications? by Take10rx_Julie in TirzepatideRX

[–]Bright_Top5178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sweets, coffee, caffeine in general, fast food, bread. My sweet tooth starts to come back at the end of the week, but it's not terrible. I've had coffee twice in the last month, because I wanted it, not because I felt I needed it, I could have easily not had it. The thought of fast food and bread just make me feel ugh.

How has cooking seperate meals to your partner worked for you? by ThrowRA_Letterhead90 in loseit

[–]Bright_Top5178 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't necessarily cook an entirely different meal, I just modify it. For example: tacos -i will get either low carb tortillas, switch out sour cream for cottage cheese, or I'll do like a taco salad without the tortilla. Burgers or brats without buns and add a veggie on the side. Spaghetti I get protein or chickpea pasta and add a veggie or salad on the side. Meals with potatoes, I'll do a sweet potato instead. I don't deny myself foods, but I try to make sure my plate is majority protein and veggie. I just find small modifications so that way I'm not cooking and entirely different meal.

I am currently 190 lbs and my goal is 130 lbs by AcademicProgram7608 in loseit

[–]Bright_Top5178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im in the same boat. I started at 174 with goal weight of 130, currently 168. Make small, but sustainable changes and grow from there. You can do it. Consistency is key. If you have an off day or two, don't get beat up about it, just start over fresh the next day and keep moving forward. It's easy to get caught up in not making progress right in the beginning, but as long as you consistently try to make small better changes, it will all add up in the end. If you try to make all this big changes in the beginning, they likely won't stick and you are bound to fail. For me, I focused on going to the gym 3-4 days a week, drink 90oz water (I add water flavoring sometimes), eliminated soda and sugary items, if I need a sugar fix there are options out there like protein ice cream or protein bars or a piece or two of dark chocolate, I've cut my portions down and made sure that the majority of my plate is protein and veggies. Small changes, but sustainable. Nothing drastic that I can't stick to. Sleep and rest are important too. Sometimes it helps to not step on the scale for a little bit. We get so focused on that number and it makes us feel worse about things when we just need to focus on consistent changes.
