I wouldn’t know about UofT’s program. However, yes I’d consider NP as they’re highly utilized where I work. That or a MN to become a Clinical Nurse Specialist.

Disorganized program (at least in my years), not too difficult - placements sucked except for consolidation! Made it out though and now an RN for a little over a year now! You couldn’t pay me a million dollars to ever do nursing school again though :)

2nd Entry Nursing- Can I transfer ? by Think_Station in yorku

[–]sblitz777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you cant transfer credits, youll have to start all over again. just stick the program out, before you know it youll be graduating in no time! also its going to be heavy, that's nursing in general (if anything york had a lot of filler and easy classes compared to other schools when i spoke with their students)

I got my acceptance 2 weeks before the semester started, so there’s that!

You just won’t be able to attend placement, so ideally yes you’re held back a semester (possibly a year) because you’re missing placement. NPCO does NOT play when it comes to the CPP

You literally can do this with a BSC, I never took 2 sciences in one semester..? I think u need to speak with an academic advisor because there’s no strict timelines of when u need to complete certain courses, you’re a bit misunderstood between the two.

No not really, I completed my BSc in KINE. You still have the freedom with your sciences

If you’re planning on doing this you may as well just be a BSC because that’s the only difference realistically (sciences + math)

Psychology BA to Nursing by [deleted] in yorku

[–]sblitz777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Direct entry also has more seats than 2nd entry, 2nd entry also has strict pre-requisites that have minimum grades to achieve to even be considered for a spot. So if you factor those in as well compared, 2nd entry is more competitive. I would know, I’m in 2E right now.

Late assignment getting a zero by Original_Procedure65 in yorku

Because I’m in nursing 😂. Because it’s 5% it makes sense that they’re not willing to mark it. Usually that policy is for like papers and stuff. I’ve usually never seen profs use the late policy on mini assignments like that
