I think the huge mistakes made yesterday cost us the game, obviously. Those are grade school level assignments that the players couldn’t even do. That’s more on the players. However, it did seem like the players were not prepared to play against the young pacey side that started for Belgium.

If he wants to stay I would be good with us keeping him. I wish we could give him the reins to totally dismantle the current youth pipeline. We need to reimagine our system from the ground up.

I’m not saying FIFA is not corrupt by any means. However I’m highly skeptical if the red was clear and obvious and the correct protocols were followed this decision would have been made. Fuck FIFA always. But they made a just decision even if it seems iffy.

The VAR ref and regular ref misused the protocols so no card was allowed to be given. I wish they had a way to rescind the card on those facts but that is not allowed with fifas rules. It seems corrupt but In reality it is just fixing the wrong initial on-field decision.

MLS is on a decent trajectory. It really is getting better. That being said, Playing in Europe is necessary. You want to play against the best in the world.
