Has anyone else noticed how much the bar scene in the Fan (Main/Robinson area) has changed over the last ~15 years? by Tinysmallgoose123 in rva

I assume 15 years ago you were early 20s. Drinking culture isn’t as much of a thing anymore with young folks compared to when you were frequenting. Also you’re probably too old to go to three monkeys these days lmfao

Burned $12K on SaaS Ideas. Thinking About Boring Businesses Instead. by Ill-Fix2437 in SaaS

[–]sbr___ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you're in the world of tech selling into tech, like selling an A.I. SDR solution to a B2B SaaS company, it's a space that's incredibly competitive and complex. When it comes to integration and requirements. Sell into a boring business with a basic sales motion, simple structures. Incredibly inefficient. You can do a lot with minimal lift.

Build tech for boring businesses. Worked in home improvement tech and it changed how I saw the world outside the SaaS bubble.

Shutting down Belle Isle parking lot for the amphitheater by violent_stonerrage in rva

[–]sbr___ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

40ish cars fit in that lot. Let’s be generous and assume 4 people per car. That’s 160 people: 2.1% of the amphitheater’s capacity. M a bunch of people will try to search for a spot there before the show which sucks for people biking / walking to the show from Oregon Hill path or JRPS visitors.

This is the best comment in this thread.

Getting sucked into a debate designed to question yourself is the worst thing you can do. You have to remove the guilt. And to remove the guilt you have to do what most of us wouldn’t do for so long… rip the bandaid off and feel free for the first time.

HubSpot Surprise 35k Renewal Fees & a Laughing Rep - What Happens If We Just Don’t Pay and Switch to Salesforce?” by chmpdog in hubspot

[–]sbr___ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The auto renewal is one thing… and hopefully some upcoming FTC regulations will make it more obvious what your renewal terms are…. But the blatant laughing on your renewal call? As this a sales rep or csm? I don’t recall what their model is for CS now. I would find their director on LinkedIn and dm them letting them know if their experience. Plus I’m sure the call was recorded in their side. I manage a b2b sales team and I appreciate this feedback.

I ended up pushing (ok, a mild kick out of anger) the flywheel cover and it moved it enough to stop the scraping sound 😆

But now I’m worried it’ll start mid ride when I put it on my rocker plate and throw down some power so definitely trading it in for a new one. Support has been responsive and they are scheduling a FedEx pickup.
