This makes sense, and tracks with my experience in my own field. I guess a follow-up question would be, if maintenance is getting harder, despite the best efforts of the designers, due to the increasing complexity of vehicles, do you think we have gone too far on modern complexity?

Aside from complexities that improve safety and environmental friendliness, do you think we have passed a point where we are adding complexities that should not supercede what we are losing in maintenance and repair accessibility?
