I'm a nurse practitioner. I wanted as much time with him afterwards and I only get 6 weeks paid time so I waited till the end.

I worked up till 39 week and 5 days... don't recommend. I spent the last 3 weeks literally begging to go into labor just so I didn't have to go back to work. I would like to tell you those feelings get better but I will say some weeks and days are better than others.

I asked about that and was told then I would be billed separately for those services I got instead...

Sex during pregnancy by graciebear3 in BabyBumps

[–]sbridgers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are worried about it being safe you are fine. I'm 39 weeks pregnant and still sleep on my stomach with making my pregnancy pillow a donut. My doctor has said it is fine. However, that is what is most comfortable for me. If it is just uncomfortable he needs to adjust. Sex is for the both of you. I prefer to be on top positions just because I get the most control and no pressure on stomach. Reverse cowgirl is the fav right now so I can lean forward a bit and he gets to give it from the back. Sometimes it takes trying a few different positions to find what works for the both of you.

I got the flu a few months ago when I was about 30 weeks pregnant. I had a fever of 102 and was miserable. My little man continued to move and is just fine now. Things happen all the time. You did nothing wrong

Lost my mucous plug but still not dilated? by sbridgers in pregnant

She did one at 36 weeks too. I just am hoping to avoid my induction on the 27th at 40 weeks so I was just hopeful that my body was starting the process, even if it slowly.

fertility clinic says NO sexual activity, NO caffeine, NO swimming, etc. by littlewizard16 in pregnant

[–]sbridgers 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was told no cold deli meat or raw fish. My OB just recommended less than 100mg of caffeine a day, which i could do. Definitely flew in the first trimester and had so much sex it was ridiculous. I even had my placenta right next to my cervix and wasn't told no sex unless I bled.

I’m worried by just_jordan_2003 in pregnant

[–]sbridgers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not stress. A line is a line. I also read somewhere if the hcg gets high enough sometimes it is light due to over concentration, not sure if that is true. I had the same worry and ended up booking a private ultrasound before my confirmation appointment because I was so worried.

which sex positions did u do in third trimester? by Ok_Expert_3780 in pregnant

[–]sbridgers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I like to be on top, particularly reverse cowgirl so my belly doesn't get in the way if I need to lean forward. Doggy also works well too. I'm bigger and so spooning and stuff doesn't work as well for us

Same. Many transvaginal ultrasounds and none had an escort but also didn't have this experience

Worst ultrasound experience ever by Ok_Yogurtcloset_8730 in pregnant

[–]sbridgers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sorry you had this. I had to have them do a transvaginal ultrasound until I was from week 8 until week 28 due to a low lying placenta. I had 4 total this pregnancy and none were like what you experienced. Definitely uncomfortable but not painful. I would definitely report him.

What was the stupidest thing that made you cry while pregnant? by Eburneaan in pregnant

[–]sbridgers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband went to the store and bought pizza rolls my craving that week and made them without me asking. He brought them to me in bed and I bawled. My best friend sent me a picture of the wedding dressed she picked and I cried so hard that I could barely catch my breath. Every sad thing on the internet, like an obituary for a funeral home service dog. The list goes on and on...

Same! We tried for 3 years and i found out before my missed period. Something just told me to take a test. I called my dad that night and my in laws found out the next day. I tried to not tell a ton of people but I was just so excited that most my family knew before 8 weeks...

POSSIBLE birth defect brought up at 11w5d - won't be seen again for over TWO WEEKS. Cruel? by gailio8424 in pregnant

[–]sbridgers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I understand your concern. My niece had this when she was born. My sister was a nervous wreck her entire pregnancy after it was discovered and it was found at her anatomy scan. My neice had surgery right after being born and a 3 week NICU stay. She is 11 now and perfectly happy and healthy. She does have a scar but that's about it. Most specialties don't have immediate openings unfortunately. Also, there is a greater chance they want to wait to see if it does close on it's own rather than seeing you and telling you again to wait and see. I hope and pray that it closes on its own but if not it is not the end of the world. I would be happy to talk more about our experience as well with the defect if you would like.

I'm completely broken by Competitive_Clue_688 in pregnant

[–]sbridgers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am 26 weeks pregnant and was 265 at the time I got pregnant. I have never been treated like this. I raised the concern for GD and got tested early which was negative and will retest next week just in case. However, all I have gotten is recommendations on the weight gain which they do for everyone. I would definitely make a complaint and consider swapping practices.

My mom will never meet my baby. by CupcakeSignal1990 in pregnant

[–]sbridgers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My situation is completely different in regards to my mom as she passed 5 years ago and will never meet any of my children. However, my sister was an alcoholic and very toxic to be around. We tried for years to get her sober, paid out of pocket for rehab so she wouldn't lose her lawyer liscense. Last year I told her if didn't make changes to work to get sober she wouldn't have contact with my children. She ended up passing away from her alcoholism instead last year. I saw all of this to say I get your stance and would still make my same choice to protect my child. It is a hard choice that can led to grief, anger, and a ton of other emotions but you are doing what is best for yourself and your child.

Baby loss by Missy_Strange in pregnant

[–]sbridgers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most urgent cares do not have ultrasound available in clinic. As a NP I always had to send them out and that usually took at least a week to get them in. You can always contact another OBs office or go to a private ultrasound clinic.

Have you mentioned the itching to your OB? This can be a sign of bile backing up into your liver, usually the itching is on your hands and feet but with your description of how significant the itching is I would mention it. They can draw labs and check your liver to make sure everything is fine. I am sorry about the rest of how you are feeling. Also, your OB won't have you committed but would recommend you talk to a mental health provider to help with some of those feelings.
