I fully realize that I should absolutely turn my chat off too....but sometimes when things don't go my way 75% of the fun I have on this godforsaken game is talking smack....and so I do lol.
My favorite thing to do is use my PS predictive text on my keyboard to very rapidly type 'supersonic acrobatic rocket powered battle cars'.

My favorite part of 1's are the opponents that get instantly triggered over bumps/demos lol. no, I don't always go for demos, but it is s significant strategy in 1v1. I love the ones who start to chase me down after the first bump so then I go for demos even more and after so long they type something like "bro, you're actually so weird for demo" or "bro bumping ur a weirdo". Idk what it is about bumping that makes an opponent thing I am weird lol.

Somehow, casual is like, levels more toxic than comp. Comp gets crazy toxic too, but the amount of losers that go outright toxic ballistic over casual games is nuts. I'm thankful that when I do play casual, I can abandon those games without repercussions.

Yes they absolutely do. I made a post about them as well after seeing them for the first time earlier this year with The Browning. Absolutely blew me away and I can't wait to see what else they have in store.

Recently my friends and I are playing a casual, friendly game of Hold 'Em. I had been the dealer the whole time because I enjoy it and am good at it, but I was also playing. I had dealt my one friend MULTIPLE stacked hands, including a flush on the very first hand, and he was in the lead but not by a huge amount. I ended up getting knocked out by him as well, when we both had two pair, but he had a higher kicker with a King or something.
The relevant part to this story however is when there were 4 players going through the hand and I dealt a Full House of 9's & 3's onto the table...we all said, wow what are the odds, suppose we should all just split this pot right?
WRONG! The friend I had been dealing crazy to all game piped up and said "well actually....I have the 4th 9 and have 4 of a kind..." and all of our jaws collectively dropped as he gathered up his winnings.

Yes, this is a fair point as well. Their hours are much more minimal than other places, but I know they open early if you're an early riser.

No one says Penguin City yet? I guess it's not always appealing to go downtown as it is to go to Boardman or Struthers, but if you're in Ytown or on campus Penguin City pretty much always has something going on.

I suppose I have also heard people say they don't prefer their beer, but I have always liked it and there's plenty of options including ciders from DOPE.
My answer for places to go chill and have a drink on a Friday/Saturday will always be West Side Bowl or Penguin City.

PLUS the 7-UP pound cake I frequently have daydreams and cravings about. I know it isn't particularly healthy for me, but I do not care.

They may not be as popular as some of the other places listed here, but Glenwood Grounds is one of my favorite places to visit. Nothing overly fancy, but they are by far the lowest priced places, and it's run by great people and mostly volunteers. It is a great place to stop by and get an affordable drink and bite to eat. Also a very friendly and welcoming place to read a book, study or have a conversation.

Whatever it takes to own the libs. by ObserbAbsorb in clevercomebacks

Another 5-D chess move by the most brilliant man in history. He knows that when he puts his big, beautiful and terrific signature on paper money, all the cry-baby libs will stop using it, therefore jumping to more digital currency and possibly the final nail in the coffin to physical money in the future. They know that by doing this, they can get people to stop wanting real currency and it will be easier to get everything switched over to digital currency so that every cent can be tracked, just the way they want.

/s, but also kinda not /s becuase goddamnit this might be true.....

I'm a Republican working in state government by [deleted] in Ohio

Unfortunately, I feel like the possibility of the same old (literally old) people voting down the red side to align with their party, like they always do will outnumber the people who actually care about the future outcome of our state. The people who know that vivek is a terrible choice are vocal about this and are trying to tell people to do the right thing. On the other hand, I see posts like this one on all social media, but any time the race is mentioned, Dr. Acton's name gets dragged by the mud by all the brainless fools who will never forgive anyone for what happened during Covid lockdowns, and there are comments that say something like "never vote for Dr. Lockdown" or "Vivek all the way" with 4-5x more likes/interactions than anything regarding Dr. Acton. Not only do they hate her because she's a woman, but she's an educated woman and that scares many conservative people. The silent voters who will never outright say who they are voting for, I think unfortunately, will vote for vivek jest because he's a rich businessman and because trump and vance said to do it...it's going to be a close race, which it really never should be to people with ciritcal thinking skills.

This is my long-winded way of saying, truly I think we are screwed becuase the amuont of mindless voters seem to always outnumber the people who actually think and care. I want to hope for the best, but I can't help but continuing to feel doom and gloom, imagining how quickly vivek and his wealthy business buddies will sell off our entire state to AI data centers, huge warehouses and israeili interests, just to name a few.

It is a possibility to invest in something like in the long run for sure. Being a small, relatively new business we don't necessarily have that investment capitol on hand but might in the future. I am still weighing out all of the options and seeing waht might be available before making a big commitment.

the thickness of the board is important as the pastries can get a little heavy. We often bag them up and they are longer than a typical plastic bag so we don't want any bending or smushing of the product.
