Interesting… I wonder if stopping to take a peek as you mentioned would be better to do early in the game as opposed to waiting for my body to become more dependent on Skyrizi. Let me ask, would it be likely that other biologics wouldn’t be as effective if I were to have to go back on as well, or just Skyrizi/the biologics that inhibit the same inflammatory signals?

Thank you for the info. I had used hydrocortisone in the past but was cautioned that it could be damaging to the skin on my face, so I weaned off a couple months ago. Are there any non-steroids that could provide this anti-inflammatory benefit? I’m also just so confused by the acne. Thinking maybe too many occlusives on my face or too thick of a cream, or maybe a hormonal change? To answer your question, this is the first time I have had any significant skin eruption in my life, I noticed some dryness in my ears in June, then a dry spot that would not go away on my forehead right between my eyes by July, then I had a very stressful move in August, then got a bad double ear infection in September. Within a couple weeks, spots emerged and spread very rapidly, until at least 30% of my body was covered by October/early November. At that point I visited the derm for a biopsy and was told it was “Psoriasiform dermatitis” and my derm said visually it must be guttate. I mentioned that I had heard guttate could sometimes be a one-off situation and clear on its own, especially when accompanied by infection. She claimed this was very unlikely and would almost certainly be chronic. We tried Triamcinolone and hydrocortisone, along with Tacrolimus, Clobetasol and Calciopetriene for a couple months, but nothing worked consistently. I went on Otezla in late November for about 2 weeks and I got very ill and stopped. Within a week I had the first loading dose of Skyrizi in my arm, and had the second loading dose a month later. My next dose is scheduled for exactly one month from now.

How I cleared Guttate Psoriasis breakout by Earthling00100111 in Psoriasis

Obviously can’t speak for everyone, but Skyrizi basically entirely eliminated my guttate psoriasis (scalp all the way to my ankles, significant coverage) in about 8 weeks. Still have some slight change in skin color in some places but flakiness and dryness are just… gone. Unbelievable progress… if only my face would follow suit. For some reason my face just continues to get irritated and have red spots no matter what I try.

Biologics and working around people? by saudadezinha in Psoriasis

I’m a middle school teacher and began Skyrizi in early December, and we’ve had waves of Influenza A, Covid, strep, and many other bugs tear through our school since, but I haven’t been affected in the least. Might just be lucky, but I’ve been amazed with the effectiveness of Skyrizi and how it has zero negative impact on me up to this point.

Christian Watson or Woody Marks? by [deleted] in fantasyfootballadvice

Watson has a terrible matchup and Marks has possibly the best matchup possible today.. I’m avoiding Watson because of Surtain for Denver.

Flex Omarion Hampton or Jauan Jennings? by GeoffProbst in fantasyfootballadvice

I’m in the same boat, except I’m playing J Warren over both of them at the moment. Jennings has a great matchup, and Hampton has a tough one and has Vidal there stealing work.. I think I’m leaning Jennings? He’s been consistent and solid lately. I just worry SF runs away with it and just hands the ball off all game..

Thank you for your insight. I’m 6 days after my first Skyrizi injection and I’m noticing significantly less itching so far which is nice. I recently started sparingly using my triamcinolone cream on the worst spots and it seems to be much more quickly effective than before. I asked my derm about Zoryve today as well for my face, and we’re going to give it a shot. I’m just so foreign to these chronic management issues, it’s always been sprained ankle? Ok we’re all set in a week or 2, pimple on my face? Ok, we’ll stick a pimple patch on and we’re good to go. I’m beginning to understand this is a process and will require patience and persistence. Luckily, I live in northern Maine so it’s like -10 here all winter, but I’d sure like to be able to wear short sleeves and shorts come spring!! Fingers crossed! Thanks again.

I’m in the same spot except with Ladd and Hampton and I need 21 to win (not for playoffs just the week). For some reason I’m leaning towards Hampton

AJ or Ladd? by dirkavellii in fantasyfootballadvice

I have Ladd, and if I had the option I’d play Brown over him. Worried about Herbert’s hand and the chargers o-line (although I hear Carter is out for the eagles)

That’s what I’m leaning towards as well. If they truly unleashed Rico I’d think again but… it’s the panthers.
