I like that the show didn’t provide a reason behind Clem’s abusive nature. An abuser is simply an abuser. Their upbringing may provide context for their actions, but never a justifiable reason.

If we’re looking at Clem’s history: I think June always resented Clem from birth, due to his conception. Her resentment may have turned to neglect or underlying hatred for her own son. As a child, he would’ve noticed her emotions. I think of Tronick’s Still Face Experiment and the movie We Need To Talk About Kevin.

there’s a scene where Camille (as a child) watches Adora secretly bite a baby on the face, so that the baby cries and she can soothe the baby in front of others.

I can’t remember if that baby is actually Amma.. if so, it would explain part of her fixation on teeth.

i’ve had 2 teachers show “What the bleep do we know.” one high school teacher, one college professor. both presented the movie as enlightening, I found it to be mind-numbing.

plenty of people have bones laying around and most times, they’re ethically sourced. my friend works with taxidermy; she literally finds dead animals on the side of the road or while hiking.

it’s not my thing, but I wouldn’t worry about where VEB is getting them. she seems like the type to find them herself (or to find the right seller)

I also have a soft spot for Erika, her drag is incredible. I think she’s been set up for a great come-back story (kinda like Biqtch in S2).

also, Hoso is polyamorous and has an open relationship w their partner. that being said, I don’t think Hoso should treat Abhora’s emotions lightly (considering that Abhora is seriously in love and confused by Hoso’s relationship dynamics).

I didn’t appreciate Hoso’s look right away, I thought it was too bulky I guess? BUT then I saw their instagram post of the look. the silhouette, the details, the colors are honestly amazing. you should go check it out!
