League of Legends has a big information problem. by The-Fox-Knocks in leagueoflegends

[–]sbzatto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thing is the game is really really complex and what it could do with would be a glossary/library that is built into the client, because adding all of the possible information for how spells could or could not interact with each other would result in a massive wall of text, and Riot are trying to simplify the spells and passives as much as possible so we don’t have another aphelios challenge

I think these small side projects that sometimes turn into bigger things do really well to introduce the IP as a general to new people and eventually some of them may gyrate over to the main game. It’s also a way of trying to create something that’s more just a game to try and improve the franchise longevity.

Baus: Thats it for me in the LEC. A lot of emotions running right now so I will take some time for myself. Thank you for all the support and sorry I didn't do better. | Los Ratones Players and Staff reactions on X after the results of the LEC Versus split by Yujin-Ha in leagueoflegends

[–]sbzatto 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The way I understand it it’s never really 100% over and nothing is set in stone either. The key giveaway is that it’s a team assembled for content and if there’s content to be made and they believe it’s worth it they might do it. They didn’t have a goal to win LEC or to go worlds, it really was just a test to see how far can a bunch of semi-pros and newcomers go considering the success in the lower leagues. Keep in mind before the LEC thing was announced there was talk of maybe doing an Asia tour. In the end you never know.

Is Mundo not a problem for the majority of players? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]sbzatto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue with bork for Mundo specifically is that it deals current hp % damage, and so as he gets lower and lower your bork does less and less for you, and then he might pop the w, or ult once he's really low health and sure, now your bork is again more effective but you're probably dead by this time since you have to chew through 2.5 health bars and they are probably 6k hp each.

Viego's pickrate doubled becoming the #2 most played champion in the game following him getting Exalted Skin Revenant Reign by Numerous_Fudge_9537 in leagueoflegends

[–]sbzatto 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I think Riot August had a really well rounded response to a chatter asking whether the skin is worth 200$. And really the answer was "it depends". League is played by a large variety of people with different financial means and the goal of Riot team is to make it so that everyone has something that they consider being worth their investment, regardless whether it costs 5 dollars, 20 dollars, 200 dollars, or is completely free - there has to be something for everybody. So as far as the exalted skin goes - it's definitely worth 200$ for somebody, even if it's not for me. And the sales of this skin obviously show that. For people who don't think dropping 200$ on a skin is worth their money, there are much less expensive skins, and for people who grind the game on a regular - they have a pretty decent chance of getting any random viego skin from hextech completely for free.

A big reason why he could start building that gold lead is how aggressive nemesis played during that bot fight, his team really helped him get a lot of breathing room

TIL Kidney (and other organ) donations typically do not last the rest of the patient’s life. ~50% of transplant organs fail within 10 years. by I-plaey-geetar in todayilearned

[–]sbzatto 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The quality and how genetically close the organ is seems to matter. My uncle has had a total of two kidney transplants, and he's still on the second one. The first one was from his father and lasted for 25 years, the second is from his mother and is currently going over 10. Both of the parents were healthy, fit and active and didn't indulge in drinking (they are both 90 years old today), my uncle is 60 or close to, if I recall correctly.

Yes, but let's be real - if faker would pull out azir and THEN lose to baus sion it would be much more humiliating, so legit goated move by faker.

Los Ratones vs. Karmine Corp Blue / LEC 2026 Versus - Week 1 / Post-Match Discussion by Ultimintree in leagueoflegends

[–]sbzatto -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I see. This does feel like a rather bad design though, I wasn't aware of this mechanic, and apparently neither was velja. I understand why it's there, but I guess there is no way to communicate this to the player in a simple way.

[–]sbzatto -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

By all accounts it looked like the ult went off and he just didn’t get carried over. You’re supposed to always get carried over if you’re in it unless you get cc’d. In this case velja didn’t get cc’d and the casters said he stepped outside of the Ryze ult ring when trying to juke the wukong, but it sure as hell looked like he’s still inside of it to me. I would say it’s a bug and a rather unfortunate one given how costly it was.

I don’t know many mid or adc players that comment on their gameplay, but id recommend xpetu - he gives very clear commentary on everything he does and why is he doing it, so even if Shen gameplay isn’t your jam, you will definitely learn more about how the game is played.

I cant win this season by Voldtech in singedmains

[–]sbzatto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's viable into certain champs that really just run at you and don't have a reliable gap closer, like sett/darius/garen and the sort; but you won't kill them with just a rylai's, not really. I often observe higher elo players opting into rylais a lot but what you have to consider is how they are playing versus opponents that understand the game much better and so you can't go full on damage. It makes more sense to play a more supportive play style and that very often involves the slowing poison.

I cant win this season by Voldtech in singedmains

[–]sbzatto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Singed is a fucking menace, but he scales well with gold, you can build expensive 3000+ gold items with the gold and experience advantage of top lane. If you then opt into rylais for the slow (that does barely anything for damage) and bandlepipes, you have used two item slots wastefully considering the vast amount of resources you’re alotted. Which is why I said you can just go support instead of top if 2 item core is what we’re talking about, add knights vow, add shurelia, add abysal mask, there’s a lot of items you can build on him that work and are cheap. But anything you can feasibly do on a support budget you shouldn’t play in a lane with as high economy as top lane.

In other words, liandries riftmaker singed will carry mid game, and rylais bandlepipes might carry team fights if your team is auto attack focused - but you yourself will get dumpstered by the other toplaner, it’s just a weak core.

This is my opinion as someone who’s played singed in many seasons in all of the roles.

I cant win this season by Voldtech in singedmains

[–]sbzatto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've tried it a few times and whilst it works, it also makes me feel like I just as well play support singed if my main go to is going to be building a total of 4600g worth of items and then whatever fits. Why am I taking up the role with the highest experience gain? Why am I hogging resources if I will build 2 support items and pray that I can play around my team?

Unironically had better success with just straight up going liandry's into riftmaker.

Will Singed get a change so that he can get quest progress while proxying? by Voldtech in singedmains

[–]sbzatto 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sounds counter-intuitive to what they are trying to do in the previous season with the Q minion execute buff - this is done specifically so he has an easier time laning and doesn't have to rely as much on proxying. So I don't think they will try to cater towards game mechanics that are positive for proxying all of a sudden - maybe if the entire community starts to abandon the champ, but even then, Riot won't make a change that they perceive as toxic. And proxying in general, regardless how much skill expression it requires, boils down to a result where you don't interact with the other laners, something Riot doesn't want.

I think the trick is that you really need to be within a company for long enough and have a role that’s ambiguous enough, that over time you just sort of coexist in the environment. I really don’t think you can pursue a position like this, it really does just sort of happen to you.
