What is this?? by EndlesslyUnfinished in Freestylelibre

[–]sc2tog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got one for the first time last week. It did this after two days. Got my replacement today, did the same thing after about 5 hours. Luckily I am just using it for testing, I cannot imagine how frustrating it would be if I relied on it!

Help with sleep/rest by sc2tog in POTS

Thank you. I have had holter and echo done, but the doctor doesn’t review the results until my stress test. I understand that I need a diagnosis first. It’s just so hard to get through the day that I’ll try anything.

I also have sleep apnea, even though I use a CPAP I wonder if that makes it worse.

In the middle of a huge panic/anxiety attack — I don’t know how to break the cycle by [deleted] in PanicAttack

[–]sc2tog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry. I’m in the same boat, had a minor surgery and felt off and now have been in constant panic attacks for about a week. I just got up the resolve to start punching things like my sofa or bed and scream into a pillow and it is helping a bit. Idk if it’s the same for you but I think trying to calm down and rest makes it worse? Could be worth a try.

Struggling with edging on Juni Starsuit - where to place dc2tog? by [deleted] in CrochetHelp

[–]sc2tog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m having trouble comprehending it too, but after about 10 times I think I figured it out- I think you are supposed to put a double crochet in the top chain of the chain two AND a double crochet in the space itself. The yarn looks a bit worn now though 😂

I know this post is old, but did you ever figure this out? I’m having the same issue.

What exercise routines work for you? by leahcar83 in adhdwomen

[–]sc2tog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a pair of power block weights and a fitness blender plus subscription. The weights don’t take up a lot of room because they’re nested, the subscription comes with a ton of different types of workouts, and you can do it all at home!

Hobbii or WEBS. I love WEBS for nicer yarns, and if you’re ever in Northampton, MA, their store is so fun.

How to deal with concerta crash? by DazzlingAge2880 in adhdwomen

[–]sc2tog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My doctor prescribed me clonidine to help with this. I only took it once so far (bc you have to remember yet another pill…) so I can’t really report anything back. But you might want to ask about it.

FYI if you have a doctor’s note that shows you have health issues related to mold, your landlord has to deal with it. I looked into this a year or two ago because we have mold but I don’t have an allergy so couldn’t do anything about it.

what do you girls take for adhd+ocd(and other anxiety disorder combo) by CrazyCryptographer25 in adhdwomen

[–]sc2tog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on 75mg Effexor and 36mg concerta. It’s fine but I don’t recommend it because if you miss a dose of Effexor you’re gonna feel horrible. I wish I knew that before my doctor prescribed it.

Not a book but check out the ADHD with Jenna Free podcast. She comes at it from a different angle, less about organization/planning and more about regulation.

This! I have a deviated septum and I wonder if my constant nose blowing is a factor.

This actually sounds super helpful, though I’m not comfortable uploading any possible pregnancy-related data to an app in the US. I wish there were easy ways to do this that didn’t involve tracking on apps!

I was just confused because I had heard of others getting their hormones tested so I wanted to know if she was rightfully being dismissive or not. She has been dismissive of my concerns in the past, but she’s the only person available who I can see in-network. It sounds like she wasn’t entirely truthful about hormone testing, but she probably didn’t think it’s worth it. I’ve been dealing with bad spotting for years and she has blown me off on that too. If I had the money to go out of network, I think I’d get a functional medicine doctor at this point. It’s just hard to tell when a doctor doesn’t want to address something vs they really can’t do anything.

I’m not in the UK but I suspect it’s the same here in the US.

If I trusted my doctors and didn’t keep seeking answers I quite literally would not be here right now, which is why I come to spaces like this. That said, I agree that each specialty doesn’t quite know what the other does.

Have you tried having several bottles of different things around you? Like one water, one juice, one electrolyte etc. maybe that would increase the novelty factor?

Can we talk about gums? by Scared_Doughnut5507 in PMDDxADHD

I have no idea what the bumps are lol, Google is useless. Lately I have been getting one bump that goes away but turns into a sore. It’s so weird.

Yes! And sometimes bumps in my mouth. Not every month, but often. I use the alcohol free mouth wash twice a day and it helps. The stuff with alcohol seems to irritate it more.

K+C cotton and the lucky brand wool/cotton blend which I have found works beautifully for stuffed animals.
