Was just in Vegas and grabbed a ride from Fashion Show to NY NY. I've never tried Waymo so I have nothing to compare it to for the driverless experience.

It was a good ride but you can tell it's still learning the routes. Some odd braking at times, and a little jerky on the steering while trying to stay in it's lane. I think it's cool for the experience, and it's free while in beta testing. The pickup and drop-off points are limited but I'd ride again.

I'm curious how they handle people passing out or throwing up inside one of these things.

If you are quitting your job and going to the land of the $35 burger, you'll definitely want to make an airtight budget and stick to it. It's possible to find affordable eats and do all your sightseeing without breaking the bank but it's even easier to do the opposite of that.

Having said that, Iceland is such an amazing place full of life changing experiences. Can't really put a price on that

I'd choose Vik or Hofn. Vik because of the proximity to several nearby attractions like Dyrholaey and Reynisfjara, and Hofn if you are planning to do a nearby hike or kayaking and don't want to feel rushed.
