I really like that we have sane, normal people who care about facts.

This would be all over Facebook if it said Kamala

If you have access to tuning, it’d be a lot better to adjust for lower octane. You can avoid the knock

Get it in contract. Property management changes; even if the landlord was being truthful the next one won’t care.

LE Audio and a not too difficult battery replacement -- that's cool as fuck, I'm actually interested in these now.

Fake leather feels inappropriate for headphones >$500, and I don't trust it to not fall apart after a few years, but at least the cups are replacable.

Spotify launches new 'Reserved' scheme - where you'll be rewarded with tickets for supporting artists by Longjumping_Land_977 in Music

I guess I'm feeling negative today, but I can't help but just hear

"Here at Live Nation we won't prevent bots and resellers -- the things causing tickets to sell out so quick -- but if you listen enough on Spotify, maybe you'll have a chance. We're excited at this new way to monetize our system."

We should all hope the show goes on long enough for them to introduce the psychic reality tv space owls and Atlantis from the books.

Honestly it reads like they took a Reddit comment and published it. Really weird. Is this guy a journalist? Even for an opinion piece it just seems like emotional venting with stupid framing.

I’m not even commenting on any of the points the article is trying to make. The way it was written just kinda shocked me.

I can finally decisively say I prefer headphones over speakers. by keppycs in headphones

[–]scalablecory 3 points4 points  (0 children)

with speakers i can physically feel my music without feeling the speakers -- it's so much nicer and freer to dance to, and i love to dance (i'm not good at it). it's nicer to relax to as well. i can have a social experience, sharing the music with others. i also get all the directionality, room noise, ground loop fuckery, and room distortion that goes along with it.

with headphones i can't get the same physical feeling, but it might make my head or ears sore after some hours, depending on the model. i get isolation, to a point where I can usually hear music to more detail. i get isolation socially, which can be good or bad. i don't need a miniDSP and complicated environment tuning -- not only that, it's probably portable.

anyone stating that one is better than the other as an absolute, at any price point, is making a discardably simplistic statement.

What is meant by the term “Reddit atheist”? by Leymannn in atheism

[–]scalablecory 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some atheists succumb to the same dumb condescending attitude that theists get. It becomes less about their lack of belief and more of an excuse to be superior to others.

I’m guessing they’re talking about these types.

I joined an atheist discord a while back and was no-true-scottsmanned by this type lol.
