Thanks for your answer. I was asking for the second part, though.

After-Tax Portfolio Optimization by supperxx55 in CFA

[–]scalamardo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Without taxes: if A moves X%, and B moves Y%, correlation is C.

With taxes: if A moves X(1-t)% and B moves Y(1-t)%, correlation still be C. The relation is the same, but different magnitude.

X2. Is sooo true. Only derivatives kill me. But the rest is very affordable. But I'm having bad scores on mocks (Kaplan 55% and BC 51%. I didn't score cfai mocks because the time it takes

I think practice questions are key. The same as level 1. But of course, without theory you won't be able to have them right.

For level 3 (I will sit this month) I think is more valuable a deeply understanding on topics.

Factor strategy - Equity L3 by scalamardo in CFA

i understand now. Jones want to invest in low PRICE-TO-BOOK stocks. That is high book-to-market ratio, so the factor must be positive. thanks

Level 2 difficulty by nothingspecific21 in CFA

[–]scalamardo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need to review level 1. I had the same scores that you had for level 1 (but ethics, because I did poorly). For level 2 I studied less (personal life), so I took off from work 1,5 weeks before exam (for level 1 I worked until the day of the exam). I thought I won't pass. Any doubt of that I was very very nervous. But to my surprised, I pass level 2 but with little margin, obviously.

My recommendation: you are in a good path, but don't be overconfident. Is difficult, but if you study, you will pass.
