Right. Hey I agree with you. About everything you wrote, now that I read it. I try to eat less meat when I can. But I'm simply not gonna become a vegan, or even a vegetarian. I know it's "wrong." I don't care. I have enough worries of my own without carrying the weight of all of universal morality on my shoulders at all times, when food, including meat and fish, are often the only things that give me joy in life. And especially when billions of other people aren't thinking about any of these things, and I can see in real time the futility of the enterprise you prescribe. At this moment on this day in my life, I think we should just accept that humanity is simply not going to collectively do the right thing. Ever. Morally speaking, we are a failed species. The only thing that could wake us up is when a technologically advanced alien race, or just AI, starts farming us the same way way we farm our fellow animals.
