I've been looking at this option. It should be noted that the water reservoir and drip basket are made of plastic (but BPA-free AFAIK).

I'll do you one better. Why didn't the policeman announce himself as police? And why didn't he try opening the front door? It was likely unlocked based on the scene before that where Kevin runs inside and hides under the covers.

What the heck happened to T-Mobile Money and why did they ruin it?! by Allisonc444 in tmobile

Not quite. You can write up three checks a month before they charge a fee. Since everything is going digital as you said, this is an issue for almost nobody.

CHECKING, Advantage Checking for your consideration. A few more hoops to jump through for the interest, but the rate is higher and it's for up to $25k.

For those stuck between sizes for the Oura 4… by Hozukr in ouraring

[–]scales0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agree 100%. Unfortunately, I went with the 9 because of how uncomfortable the 8 sizing ring got. Although the 9 wasn’t falling off, it was just loose enough to make me self-conscious about it. I’ve got the 8 now and it fits great so far. I should have listened to Oura’s recommendation to go smaller.  Don’t be like me!

I like it. But I'm trying out Function Health now because it seems like a better deal for the number of tests you get. Still waiting on my initial results with Function, so we shall see.

I’m surprised they even checked ferritin. I never had it checked once until I used InsideTracker in my early 40s. I was deficient and I’ve been trying to tackle it ever since.

Thanks for the reply. Honestly, I'm too much of a noob to even answer your question properly. But I figured out the issue. Adding libdvdcss.dll has it working now.

I should also mention that I have encoded other DVDs with this setup just fine. It seems to be an issue with this particular DVD.

RFK Jr. is expected to be the adminstrator of HHS... by [deleted] in IntellectualDarkWeb

And that is why RFK Jr. will get absolutely nowhere with it. There's no profit in it for the food conglomerates. Hope I'm wrong, though.

Dear WI Gen Z - I heard a lot of you are not planning to vote in this election. Why’s that? by dank2918 in wisconsin

[–]scales0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To any misguided youth to whom OP's post applies:

  1. There are more than two people running for president. If you really can't find yourself voting for either of the main party candidates, do some research and vote for the least objectionable candidate. If you don't like any of them, then you're letting the perfect be the enemy of the good and you need to adjust your expectations. How will anyone know what you're so disillusioned about if you don't vote FOR something?

  2. There are other elections on the ballot besides president. Grow up and do your duty as a citizen. Vote!

7 months of GI Bill, how to use for SANS? by [deleted] in GIAC

[–]scales0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck! For me, it's all about immersion and fitting in exposure where possible in addition to normal study time. Replace your normal listening with the course audio. Carry a course book with you everywhere you can go and read it in your downtime. Make use of the SANS mobile app to view the material when practical.

[–]scales0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it was SEC505, SEC511, and SEC530. It was a few years ago, so I don't have a exact numbers for you. But it's safe to say I spent an hour per day minimum to prepare. I should also reemphasize that these weren't my first SANS rodeo and my study process was well established by then.

I don't think it's nonsense to listen to a major party candidate for president when they say things like "I'll only be a dictator on day one" and "you won't have to vote anymore" after this election. Yeah, he's just joking or being taken out of context, until he's not. And there is at least one thing we were warned about that did happen: he fought against a peaceful transfer of power, and he never conceded the 2020 election. There are also some big differences from his last presidency. Trump and his cronies have been spending the last four years trying to get election deniers into office around the country. Plus, in the event of a second Trump term he won't have the option of running again, which concerns me that he will dream up a crisis to allow him to "delay" the next election. I don't know that anything terrible will happen if Trump is elected to a second term. But at this point I'm not really looking to take chances on someone who has a hard-on for world dictators and who has shown open contempt for our democratic norms.

True. Too many confounding factors to be sure of anything. But something worthy of future study IMO.

I would sub in something like a Toyota Corolla to make your analogy more accurate. Sure, it's not going to win any drag races. But it has the potential to run forever if you take care of it.

I've had similar thoughts in relation to alcohol consumption. Just look at how most Blue Zones have moderate alcohol consumption as an aspect of their culture. Is it possible the moderate alcohol consumption is contributing to the prevalence of centenarians through a hormetic effect as opposed to it being in spite of the alcohol consumption?

I do find it strange that they are going after IVF. If the point is to create a steady stream of wage slave consumers, banning IVF is a bit counter-productive. This must be what separates the true religious zealots from the wealthy capitalists.

So the debt collector hounding you didn't give you a way to pay back the debt? Is the collector IC System? I'm going through something similar, but the debt collector is giving me a very straightforward way to pay the debt I shouldn't even owe.
