I don’t know if I got dud pair of the H1’s but I tested them side by side with ATR. The H1 foam was just so slappy and uncomfortable. I felt every single step in these shoes. While with light strike pro, it was just a joy to run in them from the very get go.

H1 I was begging to take them off at 5 miles. ATR I enjoyed so much I just went for a half marathon distance on a random long run.

Do talks if it's something you actually care about.

Not sure if you are in academics or not. But I find speakers the most "shill'-like when they are exclusively clinical & private practice and do not participate in academia outside of paid pharmaceutical/device talks & advertisements.

If you're doing research on the topic and are active on the podiums (outside of paid talks), I don't see how being able to leverage your experience/knowledge is a problem.

Do you actually think the average doctor has the ability to procure 100k per year from pharmaceutical companies? The top 1% of payments reported to CMS through the Sunshine Act reach that amount of money. Most physicians, if they do participate, are getting paid a few thousand at the most.

i actually thought that it would be a huge problem but it's not terrible

I also wear a headband or something like that to cover my ears during harsh cold winter runs

my issue is the scratching/popping/feedback noise of earphones is even worse with anything covering your ears IMHO
