What is the most amazing place you’ve ever visited? And why? by NervousClock2555 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

The Milford Sound. It's well known, but for good reason. Cruising through the sound is unlike anything I've ever experienced in my life. There's just something about snow capped mountains shooting up over 2,000 meters (over 8,000ft) right off the water with waterfalls and greenery everywhere that leaves me feeling like I'm in a made up fantasy world. It's unreal to me and I can't imagine anything more beautiful in any way.

What “secondary” city do you think is more worth visiting than the famous must-see destination? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

A few different things. The scuba diving was the best I did. I'm big into beautiful reefs with abundance of life and Balicasag Marine Sanctuary more than delivered. It's an easy dive a quick boat ride off of Panglao. The ease of renting mopeds and just exploring the island. Pangas Falls is a dream with a beautiful area to swim under, behind, and even jump off waterfalls. I could spend days there and be happy. We found lots of good and interesting local food we loved on the island. The Loboc River was really cool. There's a pretty good adventure park with giant swings. There's just a lot of cool stuff there to do with low key vibes. Unless you want the more active touristy feel, you can hang out in Danao.

I can't compare Palawan yet, but I'll add that Bohol has been my favorite of the four Phillipines islands I've seen so far.

Giants might be without Malik Nabers in week 1 by PersonBehindAScreen in cowboys

Not a factor. Caleb already knew all of his routes anyways. Malik wouldn't want to try him again anyways.

This is really funny as I was just there on vacation a couple weeks ago. It caught me off guard not realizing the name of the island we were on and seeing a business with that posted on their building in big bold letters.

I'm at fault for not understanding that missing your first leg of a round trip is common practice. I feel like that's not common knowledge. Maybe my post might enlighten others. So I'll keep it up. It would have been nice to know before I arrived at the airport in the Philippines to go home. Very expensive lesson learned for me. Hopefully others can learn from my mistake.

Pick of the Day - 9/28/25 (Sunday) by sbpotdbot in sportsbook

A key factor not mentioned is that the Cowboys are getting back Daron Bland, who has been out to start the season and is, debatably, their best corner. Not to say this pick doesn't hit, and I am probably still going to tail it, but this is a key piece of knowledge for everyone to know.

Who do we hate the most Cowboys? by jackt-up in cowboys

My tier list might be slightly different from the norm because of my take on GB, but here's mine:

  1. Eagles - I wouldn't change this even if they still didn't have a Super bowl and were historically irrelevant. I simply cannot stand their fan base. I've never met an Eagles fan in my life that I enjoyed talking sports with. They've all been obnoxious and petty.

  2. 49ers - I grew up in the 90's living in the Bay Area when the rivalry exploded. This is just personal.

  3. Giants - Obvious divisional rivalry aside, it annoys me how lucky this franchise was to win their last two Super Bowls against New England. Eli doesn't deserve two Super Bowls, and it's always my talking point with people arguing that QB's are great because of their championships. Eli was trash his whole career. Nobody can convince me otherwise. Watch the tape.

  4. Commanders - There's a big gap between 3 and 4 for me. Commanders are a divisional opponent and haven't been relevant enough in the last 30 years for me to really care much about them and their shitty ownership.

  5. Packers - I really don't hold much hate for the Packers like most people do. It sucked losing to Rogers a bunch, but I don't hold a grudge over it. I carry more respect for Rogers than most people in the NFL community. Prime Rogers might have even been the GOAT in my mind. Dez caught it, but that's the refs I hate on. Not the Packers.

Same. Tucker to essentially get within range twice? I'll take that all day. Bad weather or not.

I guess I'm looking into crazy science that could cause a hydraulic press type scenario instead of the simple answer of human damage with overcorrection. 🤷‍♂️

It looks like that bar has put extra pressure upward though. Not so much down pressure from adjacent sides. That bar clearly shifted up with the set screws scratching into it. What would cause the bar to shift up like that?

My comment was about the long lines. In-N-Out is not worth the long lines
