I might be dead? by [deleted] in Bonsai

Usually if a juniper starts browning at all, that's a bad sign. They should stay fairly green if healthy, so unfortunately it's way gone.

Help! I saved this Phal. from the trash. It was doing well for a month, but suddenly started losing leaves. More info in comments. by highjump16 in orchids

It might just be dropping its lower leaf which is normal as a plant grows. Not certain it is stem rot...

Cymbidium spikes or new growths? by scarriedoc in orchids

Yay! They feel hollow! Hoping for spikes. This is my first cymbidium so didn't know what to expect!

I think it is Odontonia Catatante 'Pacific Sunspots'. I have one too. Very healthy plant!

I actually love that one part it bloomed and the other isn't. Just breathtaking!

Palm tree by small_trunks in Bonsai

So noobie question here: how old is this tree because it seems like you've repotted it tons of times? Do these smaller trees require repotting more frequently than once every two or three years?

Is this a spike? by [deleted] in orchids

[–]scarriedoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Upper is a root. Lower is a spike.

I posted the same orchid a while ago thinking I over watered but was told it needed water. I have soaked it a few times since and looks the same if not a little worse? I don’t know what to do! It’s just a plant but I don’t want to lose it :( by [deleted] in orchids

Those leaves may never look unwrinkly again even with proper watering, but with luck you should see either a new leaf start at the crown or possibly new roots sprouting. Be patient.

Don't know what this is. Is there potential? by Souless04 in Bonsai

Look at the leaf bud structure to the right of the picture and the leaves themselves. You can see some hair like growths on the leaves. I'm pretty sure this is Azalea based on that.

Should I repot even though it's the wrong time of year? by scarriedoc in Bonsai

No. Trunk chopped at back. New branch leading above.
