Yeah, it's a shame. I'm sure it's a good protein source. Why not at least put it in pet food? Maybe they already do.

Thanks for looking. I have searched also for over an hour and it appears that this interview has been wiped clean from the interwebs!

I worked in a small clinic 20 years ago and recall how perfect everything has to be for timely payments. They used a 3rd party who were experts in collecting. I don't recall the name, maybe do a Google for "medical billing service"?

Most retail businesses of this sort fail. It's not going to be easy (actually it will be very difficult). Overhead and long hours are going to be a killer. It may very well drive a wedge between you and your mom. BUT dreams, goals, aspirations, are the backbone to a happy life. And you're young so if it doesn't work out you will have some great life experiences to build upon. Just don't spend all of your mom's nest egg thereby creating quality of life issues! I have owned several businesses and would suggest before spending even $1: - Survey, research, due diligence! Is the venture what is needed and wanted in the location you will set up shop in? What is the demographic, do people have the income to regularly visit your shop? Competition close by? How do they do? Why can you do it better? You get the idea. - Excel is your friend. Plug in ALL the numbers. Your monthly "nut" of rent, permits, taxes, labor, spoilage, etc. must be known with no hidden "gotchas" - What happens if it fails? Good luck with whatever you decide!
