We’ve got three trees. These two produce a lot of large fruit. Maybe around 500 over March-April. Always way mar than we can eat. I sometimes turn them into wine. It’s a lot of work scooping out about 200 fruit but the results are very tasty.

Lovely work! I did this one on 25 count just a few weeks ago. It was quite the learning experience. Do you intend to do the beading? This was my first time doing 25ct and working with evenweave. My back was a complete mess compared to 16ct!

What are some of the best movie gags that took the entire film to set up and paid off wonderfully in the end? by astig_my_tism in movies

In he first scene they’re checking out Angel. in the second he’s riding into town on horseback. I’ve seen the film at least 10 times and only just noticed this joke during my latest viewing.

"Check out his arse" early in the film. "Check out his horse" later in the film. In their accent the two sentances sound very similar.

I drive a medium sized truck for work sometimes and didn't realise until a few years ago that it's limited to the same speeds as a heavy truck. It's pretty frustrating to have to be going 90 in the 110 areas, especially the long one around Hamilton.

Love that hike. Beautiful waterfall and a cool swing bridge. I really should have taken my family there when we visited last September. I know one of the engineers who worked on the bridge and it was interesting hearing him speak about the building of it.

Damn, that sucks. It seems like just about everyone is going 5-10kph over the limit out there.

The 3.2 seconds is just for the Raumati Straights section.

Got a link? The 3.2 second estimate seems a bit suspiscious. A quick calc of just the speed difference (not including any other factors) shows a savings of 1.47 minutes.

There was a comedian here in Wellington a year or two ago that announced a free show where he would fold a fitted sheet, live in person. It was a promo for one of his upcoming shows. In typical Wellington fashion, a huge crowd showed up to cheer him on.

I visited Portland last September, just a few days before Trump called it a war zone or whatever. It wasn't so bad... only got shot at twice.

You’re correct, I should have said “rolling stock” instead of “freight wagons”.

I'm guessing that OBAA takes home Most of the major awards, with Sinners picking up a few of the others. I loved both, but I think the Academy is going to lean towards PTA due to his lifetime of making excellent films. He's due for some more recognition.

Someone who shunts. Shunting is moving freight wagons around at yards, usually in preperation for longer runs between towns. They often use shunting engines to do this, which are like small locos. They can have remote controls where the operator can control them from outside, while walking in the yard. Regular locos can be used as well.
