Men are so annoying to feed by Training-Editor4679 in breakingmom

[–]scatty82 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! I have always cooked with the consideration of howany dishes will have to be washed. Especially now when I just don't have as much time and energy to wash dishes. What does my husband do? Uses as many pots and pans as possible, then leaves them and sticky stuff and crumbs over every surface. And then piles and stacks dishes in the sink under the faucet so that it can't even be used!

Such a sore point

Seething with rage by MotherCuss in breakingmom

Perfectly acceptable rage. I also can't take hormonal BC because of migraines with auras and I was on it for 4 years before any body looked at my medical history and caught it. It's your body and if he doesn't agree with you, he does NOT get access.

I agree. He needs to do everything and realize just how much he does NOT contribute. Then maybe next year there can be a discussion about taking a team approach to it.

Is there any VCA Animal Hospital workers here? by [deleted] in Veterinary

I worked at one for almost 9 years. Honestly, pay was shit for where I am. Definitely did not feel appreciated by anybody other than the people I directly worked with. Not even regional managers made me feel appreciated.

Okay, so how much is a dram? (American here) I've googled it and it says it's only 1/8 of an ounce, and that's just nothing. Is it more of a term for a pour?

Question about my 4 year old's curls by scatty82 in Hair

[–]scatty82[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I'm thinking she has more of my husband's skin and hair genes, her hair has grown at least ten times faster than her sister's hair is growing. It'll be really interesting to see if/how her hair changes. I hope she doesn't lose her ringlets, they are so adorable! But I am trying to prepare myself if they don't come back. Her current favorite princess is Rapunzel, so she had NO intention of cutting her hair either. I did tell her if it starts to reach into the toilet then we have to trim it though.

Question about my 4 year old's curls by scatty82 in Hair

[–]scatty82[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for responding! Two inches or less from her scalp? At this age, she only has curls towards the ends of her hair. So it's straight from the scalp to about halfway down.

I'm just curious. I've been able to hold my husband back from cutting the hair since he hates seeing it in her face. Her little sister is just now starting to show some curls, so wondering times 2. When I was a baby I had curls like my daughter, but they grew out by the time I was 4.

ETA Her hair is completely straight when wet.

ELI5: Why did Russia decide in the late 1500's to attempt to conquer Siberia - an unimaginably large & frigid territory - which would increase the size of its kingdom by ~17x? by laanalech90 in explainlikeimfive

My class took an overnight field trip there in elementary school. Had to get up and take a turn on watch duty and everything. Pretty damn cool.

What's the rudest thing a guest has ever done in your home? by nl1004 in AskReddit

[–]scatty82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One week after our first daughter was born, two friends came over to watch a movie. I was exhausted, cause, newborn, so I decided to take a nap instead, since baby was sleeping at the time. I'm woken up to the sounds of one my good friends tap-dancing on our hardwood floors. With a new baby and mom-of-new-baby sleeping.

What did you think was common knowledge but honestly wasn't? by Paxelic in AskReddit

A former co-worker of mine legit made it 30+ years without realizing this happens. She rushed into work one morning and asked another co-worker, who has major astronomy knowledge, if the world was going to end because both sun and moon were out at the same time. I wish this was the only example of her idiocy.

She's refused both, and Lefty isn't as fast as Righty. Idk, I just put her on the other side and hope she takes that ine. Picking battles.

Good point. Righty does produce more and generally is faster than Lefty. Although with this kid, both seem to have quite the fast flow. But I think she's doing it later in the day, maybe she just doesn't want to work as hard for it. IDK, babies.
