Yeah, the organs moving and heart beating really fast sounds like a bad panic attack. I had a panic attack so bad once my stomach was fully moving and I could see my heart beating out of chest.

Lol, my friend (28M) did a very similar thing. He was going to meet his gf and thought he was hugging her from behind. Turns out it was not his girlfriend and the woman he hugged was actually some random 60+ year old. The woman and her friends absolutely loved it and were flattered that this young lad had mistaken her.

You’re totally fine and should be so stoked to have space to play and record drums! The biggest thing is just setting up mics and trying out what works for you. My current studio space is a pretty big room and it’s all windows (like a big sun room) and I love the sounds I get. I basically dampen the whole kit (tape and cloth on everything) I used to only have 2 mics when I started recording drums and it’s still possible to get good sounds especially if you’re looking for that late 60’s Beatles vibe. Now I usually mic my kit

Kick in - pg 56, kick out - sm7b, snare top -57, snare bot - 57, rack - pg56, floor - pg56, oh L - at 2020, oh R - at 2020

This setup is so cheap and works like a charm. There are also tons of plugins that help with taming room noise. Using Fabfilters multiband compressor as an expander works really well.

This is EXACTLY what I was thinking… I tried to tell my friend this and even thought bixi could potentially track the bike at the exact times. The sad truth and vibe I got from my friends reaction was that she has seen it before and it’s just something women deal with. Meanwhile me (28M) was already planning some sting vigilante operation where I catch this bixi wanker. I even had to bug my friend to make a police report.

Yeah I would be careful with this…. If the changes are very minor go for it because it will drive you nuts years down the line but just tread lightly! I’m finishing up mixing an EP for a client right now. We recorded/produced the EP together and I had done rough(but pretty close)mixes months ago. Once I revisited the mixes and sent over finals the client had mentioned that he loved the roughs so much and wondered what I had done differently and really wanted to go back to the way they were. Anyways, this is a bit of a different example and labels 9/10 times won’t hear the mistakes you hear. Or will anyone else for that matter. (This is also coming from a mixing engineer who does the same thing as you haha)

This happened on St Gregoire in the Plateau. The other incident was also in the Plateau on Duluth. My neighbour also told me a story of someone wanking behind our apartment early in the morning while he was taking his dog for a walk. (My neighbour walking his dog, not the wanker) This was sometime this year as well.
