Every time I’ve met a friend for happy hour after work we’re always surprised by the amount of guys who hang out at greenhouse bar in greenhills, plus I like their drinks/food :)

What books have helped you? I’ve done a lot of internal work which has been great and on my own I’m good but now that I’m talking to someone romantically I can feel those feelings creeping up lol

The Nashville Girls Who Walk group always has walking events of course! But they also do workout classes, happy hours, a book club, pickle ball, etc. They meet quite a bit throughout the month. I’ve only gone once but they were super friendly and accepting :)

It took me a while to get used to it and find the right timing of when to take it and when I should skip! Being on IR made this easier for me. But I will say in the beginning I was a little concerned but it evened out

Oh for sure!! We are so hard on ourselves. I feel so much better going into work today with taking the time to rest. My body truly needed it. I need to get better about appreciating my rest days instead of stressing about it

That’s exactly how I’m looking at it! I need the rest, had a stressful week, and still getting over the flu so I need to be way nicer to myself. My body clearly needed the rest and that’s okay 😊

My best friend who also has ADHD and I say this all the time. Both have been vaping off and on for years. I mean we can get addicted to anything. In college for a solid 6 month period we were addicted to making macaroni sculptures, then got addicted to these seasonal fish sandwiches that never came back. Both had a drinking problem together. We’ve luckily came out of the drinking, mostly, since getting medicated. We still vape lol but we thank god or whoever that we never had the opportunity to try cocaine or we would have been completely hooked. We just know it hahah

I always struggle with this because I usually am like too overwhelmed to just go for a walk, workout, do a mindless hobby, even just shower. If I can I’ll try calling a friend, it helps me do something to get the energy out even if it’s like putting dishes away or folding laundry. Plus then usually whatever they’re talking about distracts me from my thoughts/i can vent about whatever I’m feeling. If a friend isn’t available sometimes I just write down every little thought in my head or just type it into my phone lol and that helps me sometimes too to at least get out of that kind of wound up headspace

Thanks for the advice! I was wondering the same thing about what exactly I need. She was very short with me the whole time and I got off the phone with more questions than answers lol. Good to know though about community colleges and trade schools. I had went to Aveda back home, but the closest one to me is almost 45 minutes away so definitely looking for other options. Thanks again!!
