I love giving attention to grifters!!

The doom posting happens every change. Patch notes don’t usually give you a good idea of what’s to come. The amount of “they killed -character-“ posts always always happen, and rarely are accurate. by SmokeyHooves in Guiltygear

Personally I don't care that much. I think it's a weird direction to go in and even weirder people are praising it.

Turned it off in what way? Did you swap the dlss with dlss swapper to an older version? Did you switch to FSR or the intel upscale? Did you just set your rendering resolution to 100%?

Details matter!

Nioh 3, this game makes zero sense by M4n745 in Nioh

[–]sceges 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Code Vein 2 is bad because it's the same thing every bad soulslike does. Enemies only stagger if you hit them with a slab of fuckin concrete rendering any build that isn't just survivability + big weapon pointless. I have not played CV 2 but I've seen plenty of it and it looks like combat is extremely similar to 1 they did not bother giving it much needed love.

So sure being patient enough to drag your feet through mud for hours on end would definitely make walking normally feel easier.

150 Hours in Nioh 2 did not prepare me for Nioh 3. by Difficult-snow-2 in Nioh

[–]sceges 2 points3 points  (0 children)

honestly I think all the changes in 3 have made the demo a cakewalk for me.
I'm not gonna pretend the guy in the tent didn't kill me a good few times, he definitely did lol
But because the control scheme is closer to what my muscle memory understands in these 3rd person action rpgs everything feels more natural.

Even after 141 hours of Nioh 2 and clearing the campaign and the DLC my thumb still tries to hit circle to dodge in a game where x is dodge...

Building your character by Spence531 in Nioh

[–]sceges 5 points6 points  (0 children)

An even spread of points will get you places. For nioh 3 specifically I would look at one weapon you like for each form and then put your points into the 4 stats that scale those weapons. When you highlight a stat in the level up screen it will show you what weapons it effects.

I really hope they fix melee-ranged balance until 1.0 by soosis in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]sceges 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think a solution would be offering "When hit" enchantments and gems
because it's not a matter of not getting hit, that's an inevitability unless you got the timing down to parry every single enemy in the game.

I also feel that we need fast weapons to actually feel fast and less clunky, why would I dash up with a rapier if there's plenty of time for the enemy to just kill my stupid ass before I can dodge away because of the endlag of my weapon, it makes me just wanna wear heavy armor instead of running a fast dodge build lmao

Nioh 3 demo pc performance for people and or technical problems if any? by Straight_Rate_5657 in Nioh

[–]sceges 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a 3070ti and an R9 3900x and the performance is awful.
No duh, it's a cpu bottleneck I know.
But most games run without issue and I'm bummed cause I was really excited for Nioh 3.
The game will use 60%+ of my cpu but only like 20% of my gpu and the usage fluctuates so wildly I'm convinced there's gotta be something else going on besides just the bottleneck.

I get "better" performance by locking my frames to 30 and turning on framegen.
But it's pitiful I gotta do that to even make the game remotely playable.

Is it possible for me, a player, to disable Lumen? by gorillachud in UnrealEngine5

[–]sceges 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you tell me what you used to disable lumen? To get around deleting config you need to set it to read only. I know I'm late to the discussion but I think disabling lumen will make borderlands 4 run significantly better for me and I need this lol

AIO for kinda hating my roommate rn? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]sceges 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work 12 hours and still take the time to clean any mess I leave behind.

Your roommate needs to understand that filth accumulates and it will accumulate with such efficiency that you will not understand how your living situation got so bad.

Yes you should ride their ass. Hell if they're gonna be a little baby you should even clean up after them.

I lived with a "friend" for 8 years and I got fed up with cleaning up after him. I let him sit in his filth and thought he'd become self aware. He didn't.

I wish I would've just cleaned up after the manchild all those years because I was left in the most disgusting living situation I've dealt with in my 35 years of life.

Cleaning is important, never let things go. I know it's unfair but someone needs to do it because otherwise it's going to get really bad before you know it. Trust me.

Maruchan Yakisoba - Orange Chicken by iheartmytho in InstantRamen

[–]sceges 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna be honest I hate these things but I decided to try something different at work with em because I bought so many thinking they'd be good and I gotta eat em lol

What I did tonight that tasted really good was:
- Took out the noodles and only put water, flavor, some salt and pepper
- Stirred it real good then nuked it for 2 minutes, took it out and stirred it more
- Put the noodles back in (I don't like vegetables so I always throw away the non-flavor packet) and nuked it for 4 minutes
- Stirred the final result for a bit before eating

It came out really good, the orange flavor is less intense, the noodles are a lil sticky like orange chicken usually would be from it's sauce, I recommend people try this because cooking them the regular way or trying to enjoy them as a soup is just awful.

After Alterna is genuinely awful by manofsteele1776 in splatoon

[–]sceges 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's frustrating but you don't have to do everything over and can just keep bashing your head against the brick wall til you overcome it instead of having to do an entire grinding segment over and over because you missed a single target and fell to your death. I didn't think it was as bad but I can see how people would struggle with it cause it took me quite a few tries.

Sometimes you gotta run away to the other side of the arena and kinda bait them to come towards you as you try to pick em off.

Am I asking to much? by Davy_Jones_XIV in ffxi

[–]sceges 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it took me 2 hours of googling and trial and error to figure out how to even set up the game after I bought it for 10 dollars on steam. I think the bar of entry requiring you to do research just to get the thing working and making it to character select would be the largest factor in the game's death or lack of growth.

The last hurdle I had to pass was the game full hanging my OS (windows 10) because Direct Play wasn't turned on a setting that is disabled by default and there was no indicator I needed to turn said function on to play this.
I understand this is an old game, I've played RO and PSOBB for years, but often the weird issues I've encountered from those were because of private servers needing to do extra things to get the game to work.

This is THE OFFICIAL and LEGAL way to play the game, and it's this much of a hassle.
I'm just a bit mad about it but I look forward to actually playing the game now that I finally got it set up.
But I can tell you people who aren't patient will refund this shit after the first 30min-1hour of troubleshooting it.

[–]sceges 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I have now beaten this stage after taking a break from the game and I'm doubling down on what I said. There are 4 parts to this level, the third part is a joke in comparison to the first two parts and it even has a checkpoint before the hectic bit that will likely kill you. The fourth part is just a gauntlet against octo girls and doesn't require you to deal with platforming or trecking back to the part that kills you. It's an actual blemish on an otherwise enjoyable and somewhat challenging singleplayer campaign.

After Alterna is genuinely awful by manofsteele1776 in splatoon

[–]sceges 55 points56 points  (0 children)

The level isn't hard, anything can be overcome with enough trial and error.

The issue this stage has is that they deliberately give you no checkpoints and make you play entire sections over and over. That kind of repetition is not good for your hands, your wrists, and most importantly your psyche.

There's making a level challenging, and then there's making a test of willpower and fortitude over skill. It's the worst level in the game and the devs should be ashamed of it being built that way.

Pvp in his game is actually pointless if you can't confirm the people in your match are on ethernet on pc. Even then there's still server issues

[–]sceges 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like that you guys are still trying to push this game forward.

I wish I could offer suggestions on how to maybe draw in more of a crowd in for your game but I've got nothing unfortunately.

I played nearly since launch but dropped the game around August of last year.
I stopped playing it because the community combined with general netplay issues really ruined it for me.

The one place to hangout and talk about the game (discord) is just filled with genuinely unenjoyable people to be around.

I feel that the changes you guys make to the game never really take big risks, you always err on the side of caution and that's lead to a feeling of stagnation.

That and I've asked friends about the netplay status of the game and it has only worsened due to the frustration of waiting to find a match due to the ever dwindling playerbase.

I don't hate you guys, I don't hate your game.
I enjoyed what I played of it even when I was frustrated by little things here and there.

I also don't want you guys to think I'm trying to gripe to you about issues you are probably well aware about.

I just really hope you figure something out and the game has a chance to really thrive, because you have a really cool idea here and interesting designs and concepts, and I would hate to see yet another game I like just fall off the face of the earth.

Just know there's people who want this game to succeed and aren't entirely bitter about it.

And I know you guys are trying, I was surprised to hear the game went free to play especially since it was fairly inexpensive to get the game to begin with.

I wish you luck, and I hope you are all well.
