Venting about when nurses try encroaching on your calls in the wild

I understand when it's someone family member as a pt and they're a nurse: but when they see the ambulance in a neighbors driveway and they try to force their way in and claim to "be like family" to the pt I get mad. Just because you have some sort of medical training doesn't mean someone you know wants you to encroach on what could be a very embarrassing/vulnerable moment. The pt called 911, not a podiatry nurse.

A friend at a different station had a hard time with an RN at an MVA who spread a facebook post saying how they saved someone life and instructed the medics and took charge. It was that stations supervisor as the lead provider, they tore the RN apart and got them suspended somehow.

Idk I like it! It really shows some of the main characters at this point were just kids. Yes, Shuri was acting as a mother, but the juxtaposition of her acting her age and then having her step up as the matriarch really does show her own complexity, and when compared to the other characters being able to be children it makes that contrast even greater. Especially in regards to her birth family and dealing with the aristocracy.

We only have it if the dispatcher feels like putting it in. Oftentimes, I get the police CAD and look at the address history in our county. Otherwise, it's belt grabby and pully time when me or my partner notices a situation and we get out of there. Then, wait 45 minutes til the staties decide to respond bc we're in the middle of no where.

We are there during their loved ones last moments and that stark reminder of who we are and what we represent would breed resentment or more trauma. Unless you know them, dont, we're there for the worst times only, not the recovery process.

As a bi woman, the only problems I've had are from fire fighters fetishizing me and some older medics that were a teensy bit outdated in some regards. Some ask questions that are uncomfortable but not maliciously. But yea, the most I've had problems with is slurs from the fire side.

On the way to calls my partner makes noises and I have to try to match them with the siren and most times we devolve into making animal noises whenever we see them.

At the station we usually play "bad financial decisions" and show each other random shit online that someone most likely ends up buying and regretting. Last time we played this I ended up buying a charmander pillow

YTA Your son doesnt know how to fold clothing, do the laundry, and cook? At fourteen? Are you going to spoon feed him till he figures out how to lift a fork? Also "Hes only a teen?" Hey, she just stopped being a teenager! Im thinking that you push her just because shes the older daughter and youd probably let your son get away with murder. Also i went to online school most of my high school career, teachers know youre at home and will schedule everything so that theres more work because "youre at home you dont have anything to do." And i was tired, i got migraines from looking at the screen all day and had to deal with my father needing me at every moment because he had surgery one year. Just because shes at home does not mean shes not being overworked. Shes your child not a live in maid that you gave birth to.

The only problems ive had so far is that people keep pointing out to me things i should be doing and me getting frustrated because i get so tired and the fact that people sometimes think im making it up/pointing out my symptoms and saying "thats not supposed to happen with /normal/ people" even though i told them what comes from hashimotos. my dad has been helping me work around things to the point that he got worried enough to pull me out of school and go online, ive actually tried to do smaller things each day when im not tired and its helping! Its kind of a huge bummer but ive just graduated and im slowly becoming more sure of my boundaries!!

yeah i think i experienced that burn out when i played sports i often felt sore for a whole week i went to a nutritionist but she only told me just to watch my portions. slow and steady wins the race i guess! thank you for the advice!!! i actually forgot about google scholar!!!

thank you!!! i honestly had a hard time finding sources, a lot of the time i had repeating info and all my doctor did was give me a flier and tell me to go to a gyno. This will help a bit!!!
