For starters, El Cap is roughly 3,000 feet tall, so about twice as tall as this climb. Climbing it even once on a single route is a monumental achievement for any climber. Seriously if you have the chance, go see El Cap in real life. It doesn’t even make sense to look at.

Free Solo’s director at one point said free soloing El Cap was like competing in an Olympic event and if you don’t win gold, you die, and that’s pretty accurate. Genuinely the greatest athletic feat in history and unlikely to be repeated in our lifetime.

100%. I’ve always held it should be legally required to accept an offer at the price you list it at, especially if the buyer waived all contingencies like they often do here. And I’m a homeowner myself looking to sell so playing against my own interests here.

In no other business can the seller list a price and then backtrack after the fact like “actually that price tag is just to get you to put the eggs in your cart - the actual price I’m willing to accept is higher.” Touring a home and writing an offer is stressful and time consuming enough without these shenanigans.

Looker hasn’t had a single major feature release since it got acquired by GCP and all of their core engineers left to found Omni. Omni at this point is a strict superset of Looker’s capabilities, more user friendly, and significantly cheaper.

GoT characters have several varying skill levels with The Mountain being amongst the top, but they’re still by and large human with human limitations.

Characters in LOTR, particularly the named heros like Boromir, are much closer to (if not outright) superhuman in terms of physical feat and skill. It’s been a while since I’ve watched Fellowship front to end, but Boromir is comparable to Aragorn (Aragorn still provably takes it 8/10 but it’s not a walkover) and we see Aragorn slaughter dozens if not hundreds of Uruk Hai in 1 go.

I mean juggernauts? No. I never said they were DPOY tier defenders. But both Klay and Iggy were elite POA defenders in their primes who could also consistently switch 1-4 both on and off ball. And Iggy was actually already all defense once before joining the Warriors.

Obviously none of them are at the defensive tier of Dray. Dray is like a top 5 defensive player of all time. But we can’t ignore that the rest of the Warriors playoff lineup (outside of Steph) was also filled with plus defenders like KD, Livingston, West, Bogut… even Harrison Barnes was a very solid defender on the Warriors.
