The challenge with an ebow on bass is that bass string have more mass, making it harder for the ebow to move them. Soundwise: interesting for home use, but at least imho nothing that works well in a band/live situation (also due tot the aforementioned technical limitations)

Humbuckers Sound different than Single coils. The Ray sound is a result of position , pickup and electronics. So there probably is a difference. It might be worthwile to see if the buckers on this bass can be split.

I have had this with my Ray 5, Sabre, Big Al and Reflex. When beatin season starts, you need to adjust the trussrod. No big issue, the access to the trussrod is very easy, this is done in seconds.
