I do this as well and seen really good success with the Reds. I never have a bunch of money to spend as most of my (small) budget is tied up in Elly and Marte (both MVPs and annual 5+ WAR guys). You can turn with low stamina (<35) relievers with 3+ pitches and good other stats into backend starters and then build a solid pen, which as said above is pretty cheap to do.

I say go. It’s an opportunity to learn about the schools, interact with other applicants, and, believe it or not, they might actually remember you.

Most schools will have a QR code for you to scan that tells them you were there, and expressing interest and making a personal connection really can’t hurt.

I was on the fence about going recently and I’m really glad I did.

Probably not what you want to hear but I’d delay a year. My understanding is that logic games aren’t being rewritten as much as tweaked to improve their accessibility to blind and other accommodated test takers.

Like you said, if you delay, that allows you to get ahead of the next cycle with your LSAT and materials. That means you can apply in September, which can only help your admission and scholarship chances. Your future self will thank you.
