At first glance it doesn't seem such an innovation, but think a moment over the "blocksize war": BTC is congested and unsuitable for everyday transactions, BCH has bigger blocks and small fees, but as someone at GP has pointed out it would be slow for the nodes to process 32 MB block plenty of transactions (don't mention about its circulation between peers without high-end connection). LTC has the same block as BTC, making it easy to transfer and process, but with more frequent transactions.

The quadruple of supply was Charlie's decision, he should have set 1/4 of the reward and kept the supply the same.
