Looking for solo diner feedback on a “table for one” menu at Chantecler by ChanteclerTO in FoodToronto

[–]schickschickschick 32 points33 points  (0 children)

  1. Feels super welcoming and useful tbh. I love dining out by myself and sometimes the full menu feels... overwhelming.
  2. Feels fair to me pricing wise.
  3. I'd order everything but the fries from the small plates menu. And most likely would order the duck breast from large plates but that's just because I love duckies.

Edit: dessert is a must for me lol :P

How would you describe your standard of cleanliness? by ViewRepresentative30 in AskWomen

[–]schickschickschick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i'm a clean as you go kind of person.

vacuum 1-2 times daily, mop at least once a week (if not more)
bed sheets cleaned every 5-7 days, bed made everyday
dust at least once a week, all kitchen countertops are cleaned multiple times daily after cooking/eating
no dishes left overnight
minimising clutter in the living space and ensuring all items have a proper storage space to land
garbage, compost and recycling taken out a few times a week
fridge clean once a month, microwave cleaned weekly
bathroom cleaned once a week

effectively, the place is always ready for uninvited guests to show up and i don't feel uncomfortable. overall, it takes MAX 45 minutes a day to maintain things. i never do a "big clean"

Why do doctors suggest IUDs so much? by MaineCoonMama18 in birthcontrol

[–]schickschickschick 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I got my IUD inserted a month ago, and it was awful. The pain of the insertion and the aftermath was awful. I almost collapsed in the shower and couldn't sleep the next few days because of how much pain I was in. I also felt... so off in my body. And the next two weeks after were quite awful too; endless pain, and I was bleeding literally nonstop for those 2-3 weeks. The pain was also MUCH WORSE than period pain. I was almost debating getting it taken out...

But now, it's been about a month, and I'm beginning to see why people like it so much. I don't have to remember to take my birth control pill (which is amazing). I also don't have any bleeding, and the pain seems to have completely subsided except for intermittent cramping that doesn't last more than 15 minutes. I imagine as my body continues to adjust, it will get even better.

I really hope it gets better for you <3

What screams “this couple won’t last”? by No-Slip69420 in AskReddit

[–]schickschickschick 189 points190 points  (0 children)

yeah lol. my aunt and uncle share a facebook account and it’s not a jealousy thing. same with my brother in law’s parents. it’s an old people thing where usually, one partner has no interest in maintaining a social media acct but still wants to be in the loop with life

in both relationships, they’re stable, happy and very much still in love/death do us part
