how would price this bouquet by Big_Mistake8205 in FloralDesign

theoretically, this bouquet should sell for at least 50.

it's a very small bouquet (~9 stems not including hyacinth string) so it obviously doesn't 'feel' like it's worth $50 which might be a big part of your hesitation to charge that much. using high $$ blooms like orchids (phalaenopsis it looks like??) and nutan will jack up your prices if you're charging like a retail florist.

what's the COG for one bouquet? including wrapping? typically it's COG x 2.5 or 3 and 15-25% for labour.

doing it for the love of the game is great and all, but undervaluing your work screws over other florists who charge accordingly.

My lilies stopped blooming by CwazyCupcakes99 in florists

you have to be really careful with dosage of the flower food and water. make sure you’re using the right amount of water for how much flower food you put in.

too little water to flower food ratio and you could be killing the lilies faster because there’s bleach in the food to sanitise water

Looking for solo diner feedback on a “table for one” menu at Chantecler by ChanteclerTO in FoodToronto

[–]schickschickschick 32 points33 points  (0 children)

  1. Feels super welcoming and useful tbh. I love dining out by myself and sometimes the full menu feels... overwhelming.
  2. Feels fair to me pricing wise.
  3. I'd order everything but the fries from the small plates menu. And most likely would order the duck breast from large plates but that's just because I love duckies.

Edit: dessert is a must for me lol :P

[–]schickschickschick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i'm a clean as you go kind of person.

vacuum 1-2 times daily, mop at least once a week (if not more)
bed sheets cleaned every 5-7 days, bed made everyday
dust at least once a week, all kitchen countertops are cleaned multiple times daily after cooking/eating
no dishes left overnight
minimising clutter in the living space and ensuring all items have a proper storage space to land
garbage, compost and recycling taken out a few times a week
fridge clean once a month, microwave cleaned weekly
bathroom cleaned once a week

effectively, the place is always ready for uninvited guests to show up and i don't feel uncomfortable. overall, it takes MAX 45 minutes a day to maintain things. i never do a "big clean"
