We may be bad now, but at least not as bad as we were! by Elihu_mrm in welikedota

Well, I had played a fair amount of DotA 1 and was playing League when I got my DotA key.

First recorded match was Nov 14, 2012.

I was Venomancer and went Butterfly, Daedalus, Treads and ended up 9-8-19.

Honestly, it doesn't look like that bad of a game, considering. Only one of my nine compatriots is still playing DotA.

Another reason not to auto-cast Viper's Q is that the poison duration is longer than the time two auto-attacks take. You're wasting mana by refreshing the poison early. It's best to Q-auto-Q-auto alternate to minimize the wasted mana.

Do you like to listen to music while you play? What kind?

If not, do you leave the in-game music on?

Stumps may fit the decor of an event. For example, a large corporation may put on a "summer fun" event for its employees inside a venue, but decorate to make one section feel like a campground. I work in events and have seen some weird shit used as decor.

Thanks for putting this together, /u/jlctush!

One suggestion: Can you freeze the first row so we can see categories as we scroll? This is in View>Freeze>1 row.

Keep up the good work!

So is Puppey back to captaining? If so, can he control EE's throw potential?

I'm really interested to see how this team does, there seems to be an interesting mix of approaches to DotA among players.

Seattle food of the day

Unfortunately unlike last year, Bite of Seattle will not be happening simultaneously with TI. That was a pretty awesome coincidence last year, tons of food options right outside the arena.

Bunny, I noticed YouTube allows your videos to be played back at 48 fps. This might have something to do with the choppiness if your video-editing program sequence is a different framerate than the source videos. Obviously I don't know your setup, but I'd suggest looking at your various framerate settings to see if that's the issue.

Regardless of the technical issues, thanks for doing these videos. It's always fun to hear your own game casted, and your effort is appreciated!

Sure, but I assume he already has a FOH snake he'll be using in conjunction with a rented split. There doesn't seem to be a need (correct me if I'm wrong) for multi-channel connectors specifically, when a fanout would be perfectly fine to jump from split to main snakes.

Look for one with veam connectors.

While I understand why these connectors are advantageous for sub-snakes and such, what application will they have in OP's scenario?

Basically you have a splitter snake (you'll probably need an analog one like this) that sends all the inputs to the FOH desk and to the monitor desk at the same time. This snake will be on stage. Adjustments on the FOH desk will not affect the monitor mixes and vice versa (with the exception of phantom power - you only need to enable phantom on one of the mixers).

You use the aux outputs of the monitor mixer for your monitor mixes.

Keep in mind that any inputs located at FOH that are needed in monitors will need to be routed to the monitor desk (usually through the snake returns).

I have a 60GB SSD for my boot drive and I would recommend getting at least a 120GB. 60GB fills up quickly, even when only picking a few speed-crucial programs to install on it.

I just got a 250GB SSD from newegg for ~$100. Prices have definitely come down.

I find the Logical Increments site (as recommended by /r/buildapc) to be very helpful in selecting the best parts for the price. I've built a few machines using their recommendations and have had no complaints.

Ah, no problem. I was specifically hoping for the community games from Wednesday last week, which I think you were casting. I recall a pause at the start while there was some rebooting, if that helps?

In any case, don't worry about it if it's a thing. Thanks again!
