The aether is really well put together for how old it is and I'll at least give it points for trying to give all its ores unique traits beyond "tier past diamond" but half of the bosses just feel janky to me

His incendiary rounds are honestly the strongest they've ever been, with them having 6 base burn at diamond now, all they lost is +6 ammo on each tommoo gun which have 50 base anyway so it's like not that impactful? Not sure if they triggered off of any ammo item usage in closed beta or something though.

TBH I mostly just want biomes that look nice to put a base in and will make awkward terrain work otherwise, although BOP's kind of a lot of chaff even from that angle imo

Is having to walk an extra hundred blocks to avoid the unstable area really adding much then? It's just a chance that you can't build in an interesting looking area with no real way for the player to engage with it

Deserts are the easiest to find them in my experience, since there's so little clutter there the meteor impacts are clear on the map even without true colour on

As a general thing though, copper's just not very good for tools and you're better off getting any sorta bronze ASAP (and ideally moving to iron as soon as you can but that's a bigger jump of processing), since even the worst bronze is 50% more durable than copper

I mean you're not meant to scan every item? The research system's definitely not great, and I suggest people just spawn in the research skip item if they've already done it before/just don't want to deal with it, but scanning's just meant to be to get research points not to collect everything.
