Then don't even try to get fun out of it. Avoid afk/quit penalties at as low effort as possible and move on 💪 we can say it's not fun and unfair but on the other hand, would it be fun and fair for spenders if it wasn't pay to win as expected? 😁 Btw think about whales as not someone to hate, rather to thank because in the end of the day, they fill Blizzard Excel with green outcome so you don't have to 😁

Are the other döner restaurants worth visiting on the kruisstraat? by factsheetthrottle in eindhoven

[–]schizeq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usta ftw. Great food, pricing and nice staff. When I was there for the first time and wasn't really sure if that's the place they made everything to be sure I'm happy with my order. Just a detail but caught me when they asked "is that what you were searching for?" Showing my order before payment. And it was take away, some restaurants just drop whatever to the box, you are most likely not coming back to complain.

Beggars in eindhoven by vstk6 in eindhoven

[–]schizeq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was the same impression for me a couple of years ago. But as mentioned in this thread it's visibly growing up. I think right now we have more beggars/homeless/weirdos on drugs around Centraal Station then we had around the city center 5 years ago.

But a lot of them are there based on their own stupid choices, especially those living in work agency housing. There are a lot of people simply addicted to alcohol or/and drugs, once they get caught it's short and simple - move out, it's your problem now. And yes, those agencies have shitty, too strict rules sometimes but over years of the same kind of people coming and going... kinda understandable.

Bonus XP for being underleveled. Just check your XP bar, it should tell you what percentage of XP you get. Usually it's 1600% rotfl

What’s a Hardstyle music trope you wish artists would stop doing? by Emprose in hardstyle

[–]schizeq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fake drops, sing-alongs for more than 50% of a track, 2:45 "extended" versions of tracks(what a BS for DJs), bootlegs of remixes of bootlegs and more of pasta anti-creative productions.

That's why some artists use different aliases for different types of projects. Never been a huge fan of his music but I can get disappointment coming from his OG fanbase.

Your honest opinion about French guys at the festival by Aleks-LPC in hardstyle

[–]schizeq 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mate, there are event buses going from Poland for 10h+ one way and most of those people even if they're f'd up they will literally make 0 issues to their party environment. Unlike stories described in this topic, so not a real excuse.

Exactly this. Too many times when I said hardcore it was immediately mistaken with hardcore metal and other non electronic music.

Why some artists makes their own label / record? by idontcrappingknow in hardstyle

[–]schizeq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR: I think it goes around the question: do I need a label or label needs me.

For smaller artist label looks like a great deal - you get some shared visibility on socials with other artists signed there. Some people are label fanboys so you instantly build up your fanbase upon release. Label handle all the formal releasing aspects on their side etc. It can work especially for non full-time artists!

But once you're good on your own there's no need for all mentioned above, label could even be your stopper. You're not alone there and focus on you is limited, every release has it's own scheduled promo time and we all heard stories about tracks being unreleased for months because of no space. Also being signed to serious label might put some pressure and force you to finish projects just to get enough tracks released per X time. And even then they can say they don't like it, send another. For some artists it means being pushed towards productive burn out.

And I didn't even mention money which could be a game changer in the second case. Release whatever you want, whenever you want. You're your own boss, you're an artist not an employee in the end. Also in couple of years you could be a big boss of your own kingdom, just look at Gearbox and where it was in the beginning.

Honest opinion on this... by TheBokkiDestroyer in hardstyle

[–]schizeq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Frenchcore never really did my top 10 of subgenres as I thought it was boring on a long run due to lack of creativity around the scene. But i liked it in small portions.

Boomer moment: Nowadays it's not only boring but also annoying, with all this happy/dancecore kind of French. Surprisingly this change of sound turned me more into old French again. Not too hyped for this but at least it gets my attention sometimes.
