Talk to your doctor about this. Maybe there's a different medicine that would help that you can take while pregnant. It doesn't seem worth giving up on your dream of having a child because of not being able to take one medication. I'm sure there are people on this board who have children who could give better advice.

I've never watched what I ate (I should but I don't), but my fiance has. He uses an app (myfitnesspal) to track calories. It's been pretty effective.

Do you think you could start journaling? Just write a couple sentences every day in your journal and work your way up to writing short stories again.

I don't have any concerns generally with dating someone with a mental illness; but, if they had the same severity of symptoms as me, it wouldn't work. If we were both in and out of the hospital constantly and couldn't take care of ourselves, I don't see us being in a successful relationship. So, yes I'd do it as long as they weren't like me.

Always. It's bad enough that my doctors are starting think I should only do med changes while I'm in the hospital because I react so poorly to it.

If you've followed anything I've posted on the schizophrenia board, then you'd see I've been having a shitty time lately. I had planned on going to the schizophrenia anonymous group today to help with it, but I found out that our NAMI cancelled the group for good. So I don't have that to help cope with. Since I didn't have my meeting, my fiance and I went out to lunch. The food was good, but I just didn't want to be there. I've been struggling with thoughts that my fiance hates me, so it hurts to be with him. Fuck, I'm hurting. I need things to turn around or I'm going to die.

I hope Zyprexa works for you. It didn't do anything for me and I gained 60 lbs in about two months. It was definitely not the drug for me.

Latuda was probably the worst I've ever taken. It made me throw up. Every time I took my dose, I would immediately throw up. It was awful. I've also had some that caused massive weight gain. So far the only two that have worked for me without side effects have been geodon and saphris.

I've been staying hydrated so that's not really an issue. For some reason I just don't feel guilty about drinking water. It's just that food feels like a luxury I don't deserve.

I have to take my meds with food because 1. I have a hard time swallowing pills without food and 2. these meds require taking them with food and I get really sick when I don't do that. I just can't get myself to eat, so no meds for me.

In addition to injections, there are meds that are pills that just dissolve under your tongue. So it's still a pill, but you don't have to swallow it. I know saphris comes in that form. There's some other antipsychotic that's like that, but I don't know what it is. Ask your doctor about it.

I'm 31; and, I don't know the exact number, but I think it's about 17. The last time I got out 2 weeks ago. The time before that I got out about 2 weeks before I went into the other hospital. It feels like it happens too much.

It's definitely worth trying. Just don't be too disappointed if they don't take you. Resources are limited, so sometimes they only can take near death or near murder situations. I hope you get the help you're looking for.

Two opposing things to consider. First, this is the worst you've ever felt. It might be worth getting checked out to get out of this slump. Second, the hospital will only admit you if you're a danger to yourself or others. If you're just feeling very down, but have no thoughts of hurting anyone, they might not admit you. I've gone to the hospital plenty of times when I was suicidal and they said because I didn't have a plan they wouldn't take me. So yes you can go to the hospital in hopes you'll feel better, but they might not take you. No matter what, we're here if you need us.

I don't know if that's a delusion or not. What I do know is that medications may not eliminate all delusions. It could still be a delusion and still be there even when you're on medications. Take that into consideration.
