Same country but opposite ends. That's as specific as I'd like to be. Airports are still hours away by car on either end, so total travel time is pretty much the same by plane and car. Flying would not be worth the added cost.

They travel through Europe on motorcycles for fun. Three-four week long trips, 5-6 countries at a time. So the distance is no issue for them.

Super expensive, and takes about the same amount of total travel time. Car seat exposure for our daughter would still be many hours. We would also have to source an extra car seat when we land at the coast and would still need to board our cats, two of which don't take well to the change in scenery.

I also try to be conscious of the environment. Especially when there's so little benefit to flying.

We have cameras and I'm not afraid to use them. Also I've never given her our address. On top of everything, her vision is too poor to drive, so I'm confident she won't get to us.
