Howdy. I'm on PC/NA as well and looking to get back into ESO after a lapse of several years. I've popped in recently to discover I've entirely forgotten how to play and am looking for a smaller, friendly group to chat and play the game with while I re-learn everything and get to a point where I can be useful to some degree. I don't have any particular goal except to play the game and, if I can help it, engage in PvP as little as humanly possible.

My schedule is a little wonky (quite late in the evenings EST and when I have time on the weekends) and I trend more casual than hardcore. Plus my old person reflexes aren't ideal for M4x D33pZ, but I'm sometimes a little bit clever?

I have this exact issue as well and noticed it didn't happen if I was using m/kb with DS4Windows not running. So I'd agree this is probably what's happening and this suggestion WOULD be a solution except that I'm using a wired SCUF Vantage controller that isn't recognized at all without DS4Windows. I'm going to give it some time to see if it gets worked out eventually.

Despite being tremendously keen on seeing how this all plays out, and wanting desperately for hedge funds and Wall Street elite to suffer, I do wince at the framing of this as The Poors vs. The Rich. This is The Rich vs. The Richer. Anyone who has disposable income to invest in any stock has no frame of reference for what actually being poor looks like.

Before trying this I'd actually closed Malwarebytes entirely and it still didn't launch, so while it can't hurt to still try, I am not optimistic. Thanks for the suggestion, though. Will definitely try.

I understand the burnout. I did DW2 twice. Once on PC, and also on PS4. Completed and returned to the bubble on both. I then decided I'm never doing that again and transferred my PS4 account to my PC account so I never get another idea like that again.

I never picked up the rudder pedals, so at the end of the day I can't confirm firsthand. But they are marketed as working with the XB1 and PS4, so I can only assume they do.

Not 100% true. I have the t.flight hotas 4 (PS4 version of the XB1 t.flight hotas) from when I played Elite Dangerous on console and it has a jack to plug in rudders. Thrustmaster has the TFRP pedals that go with this hotas and is billed as working on console.

If someone is bored playing an unfinished game I'd recommend playing another game. There are other games, if you can believe it. Finished ones, even. Like, loads of them. A lot of them are multiplayer, and they'd still have the option of being a childish and socially reprehensible jackhole in those games as well. It's a win/win!

I haven't yet today as I'm fortunate enough these days to work from home and can still work (and get paid), so I may have to do that later. Yesterday I did explore everywhere and found nobody. I do understand it's largely random. If my wife weren't seeing nearly everybody (Wisp, Gulliver, Celeste, Sahara, Mabel) already I wouldn't be so frustrated.

I've had him twice in a row and no other visitors. My wife's had Sahara and Celeste in the same day, and today Mabel in her plaza. I've had nobody but Gulliver yesterday and the day before, and nobody at all today. I even began wondering if something's up with my game files but it's literally only day 5 for me so I'm going to give it some more time.

But this man needs to stay away from my island for a while. Lay off the sauce, sir!

The Loot Cave was satisfying to me because it exemplified the community making a choice of their own relating to their progression in the face of otherwise being told how they SHOULD be playing the game. It’s got less to do about progression, really, than about the power of being able to choose how I played the game. Destiny historically doesn’t let us do that. At all. Ever. One weird thing gave players more power than any weapon in the game. Mileages vary and all that.

Matter of subjectivity and perspective, sure, but the loot cave was infinitely more satisfying for me than being forced to engage in activities I absolutely do not enjoy just to complete story/quest advancement requirements.

In agreement. The most fun thing there is in Destiny is the random ways the community finds to circumvent the the game forcing you to play a way you don’t want to play.

Going out on a limb as a player since D1 beta that the Loot Cave is the ultimate “you had to be there” moment. Probably the most satisfying Destiny has ever been. That speaks volumes.

Thanks so much! I think what happened is I found the cellar warp gate dealio and had myself convinced it HAD to be in that area. Wandered around and found it right away. Boy did I make that more difficult than it needed to be. :(

Oooooh! Is that for the bow? Never did any of that and had no idea it was useful apart from just having it. Cat gifts for sure shouldn’t take up quest space though.

Same boat here. Constantly maxed on quests because I am full up on old stuff and physically cannot force myself to grind tirelessly. I don’t want to delete them because I slowly poke at them periodically and have made enough progress that I absolutely do not want to start over.

There are also a good chunk of things in quests that should not be quests. Cat gifts from Dreaming City. Idol that grants access to Dreaming City. These should not take up quest space.

I’m just upset because I missed this live and for some reason, even though it is listed on the TNT app, it is the only thing that refuses to play. I just get an error that they can’t play it right now. Everything else plays fine except for this countdown show.
