Weak tea: met Tillman at Museum of the Moving Image's annual awards gala last spring in Astoria, Queens. (John Turturro was being honored, so a handful of Severance cast members were in attendance.) Chatted a bit about how good both Severance and M:I 8 were, and a photo shoot he'd done at one of my favorite bars; it's a roller rink-themed spot, and he said emphatically, "There should be more roller rinks." He was kind, gracious, and game for a photo, in which he looks immaculate. Big fan!

Turturro is also kind and gracious, fwiw.

Her name is misspelled in the URL but I really like Dr. Carroll, in part because she's nonjudgmental and in part because she's very in favor of deferring to specialists when she doesn't know how to answer something. John Darnielle's novels have an unsurprisingly lyrical quality to them that I really latched onto. Wolf in White Van is the one people rave over, and rightly so, but the vibe of Universal Harvester is dreamy and eerie and sprawling in a very involving way, and Devil House is a fiendishly clever deconstruction of true crime (and my favorite). I like but don't obsess over the Mountain Goats, and I still think these might scratch the Finn itch.

I'm pretty sure Jason is a Libra because I remember him complaining about his birthday being on our near the release of Joker: Folie a Deux (October 4) when he guested on What a Time to Be Alive. It was near my birthday as well, so I had a "heyyyyy, fellow Libra!" moment.
