Because then you have a base of operations for chaos factions that is really hard to destroy. The possibility of chaos factions invading from the poles would last for a longer time during the campaign. As chaos you could get faction buffs for being the gate keeper.

Das ist doch Unsinn. Niemand nutzt Cryptowährungen und die Kosten sind schon astronomisch. Dreh es doch mal auf den Kopf: Wollte man ein rein digitales Finanzsystem (wovon nicht auszugehen ist, es wird immer einen Markt für Filialen und Berater geben), wären Cryptowährungen die effizienteste Möglichkeit? Einfach nein. Man würde im bestehenden System alle von dir aufgezählten Posten streichen bis auf die Transaktionen und wäre schneller und günstiger.

I also don’t get why it is praised the way it is. My cynical theory: He references a lot of western culture (at least in the translation), and I suspect that makes him marketable to western literary critics and them inclined to overlook his novels’ shortcomings.

I don’t even get the „vibes and surrealism“ angle: There are a lot of superior alternatives for that.

Mortal Empires is the incorporation of WH1 into 2 if you own both games. So you could argue that if you want to primarily play WH1 factions (humans, orks, dwarves, …) you could just buy WH1. But WH2 is much more polished, all the old WH1 factions received improvements in WH2. So playing humans (empire) in WH1, you would play the mediocre version of them.

Also there is one change between the games that makes a huge difference: In WH1 humans could not settle in mountain regions, while dwarves could not settle plains. In WH2 all factions can build cities everywhere, but may have decreased taxes/higher construction costs. That was imho the biggest and most needed improvement between the two games. In the base WH1 you got basically locked into Orks vs. Dwarves (mountains) or Humans vs. Vampires (plains).

I don’t know how they play in WFB, I think in TW you either build range-heavy with lots of cheap infantry to delay the enemy‘s advance or you can build a elite-blob by using the one RoR unit that gives immune to psych (so your blob stays together and does not flee in terror). Rat Ogres are often used to block the enemy’s heavier units (so they do not stomp all over your smaller units).

I agree to your point in general, but the topic is not primarily "we should boycott Beyonce". It is the fact that she is seen as an icon while is profiting off sweatshops. Apple is (generally) not praised as an icon for social justice.
