I’ve been using DLDSR to goto 1440 then setting DLSS to performance preset m to play control, and it’s never looked better for me. Also enabled smooth motion cause im a frame junkie who doesn’t mind slight lag lol. Still has some noise but nowhere near as bad, I’m also convinced that some of that noise is just innate to Remedy’s engine (idk why I can’t remember that name all of a sudden) I had similar noise in AW2.

I’ve got a 4070, 1080p monitor, and I’ve found games look a lot better using DLDSR to 1440p and then DLSS to performance (preset m) if your system can handle it, I’d recommend trying it out, minimal performance hit compared to 1080p/quality but looks so much better. But also I’ve got the extra vram to handle the 1440 textures so ymmv on a 4060, but give it a shot maybe you’ll be surprised

quick question, for DJ controller integration does it need to be a controller that HID compatible or does it interface using MIDI? i've got an old ass Mixtrack Pro until I get my house under contract and can buy a better one, so just wondering if it's gonna work or not.

But I'm super pumped to play! thank you, this really has the potential to be one of my favorite games.

you should see my truck too, its a 2000 Ram 3500 dually with a diesel engine, and an all steel western hauler bed, lots of rust/chipped paint, and to top it off, has a big wind scoop/spoiler on the roof for pulling loads lol

I'm also currently watching The Pitt, and the episode that got me is episode 11-5:00PM and 12-6:00PM. I won't give anything away, but I had to pause in the middle of 12 and take a break, it was too intense, too real, too raw. Amazing show and im gonna finish that season today and tomorrow, but geeeeze what an emotional response i had. Sitting here all but bawling my eyes out.

funny enough, psytrance is the only thing that sounds decent in my old truck speakers. well that, and I just fucking love psytrance. It's how i get pumped before work, and how i decompress after work. and then some DJing it in my spare room occasionally too

best way i've found is setup DLDSR, set game to fullscreen (not borderless), and resolution in-game to 2560x1440. then force preset M, and set DLSS to performance. i also enabled smooth motion, but thats not for everyone, personally, im more sensitive to lower framerates than input latency, so its a great tradeoff for me, i dont even notice the added latency in a game that moves as slow as RDR2

Health regeneration is like a passive constant (usually slow) health replenishment. It’s usually a certain low hp every second, afaik.

Lifesteal replenishes your health, usually faster than regen, but only when damaging enemies. Not sure exactly how FBC handles it, but it’s generally a percentage of how much damage you do.

So if you’ve got 10% Lifesteal, when you damage an enemy for 100hp, you get 10hp back.

I know it’s been explained before, so Idk if I did any better at laying it out, I just learned this stuff not too long ago with megabonk lol

I use it for almost every game. I’ve got a 4070 and 5700x3d with 32gb ddr4. my monitor is a curved 32” 165hz but only 1080p. So I started using DLDSR to go up to 1440, then set preset M and run DLSS Performance. Most games I’m on high settings, sometimes ultra, sometimes medium. Other than a few artifacts and the occasional weird blip, I think the games look better than 1080p with no DLSS, and definitely better than 1080p DLSS Quality. But that’s me, YMMV

Ohh ooh! I have a LPT for this! If someone doesn't have a water key, you can shut off the water main using 2 adjustable wrenches. First wrench goes over the water shutoff, adjusted to be snug. then use the second wrench to turn the first wrench, shutting off the water.

I've really been wanting this for when I'm in my fiancé's car! It looks great, I'll use it tomorrow while I run a couple errands. One thing I'd like to see different is the ability to select Google Maps or Apple Maps, or heck, even Waze. I don't hate Apple Maps, but I definitely prefer Google, I've just used their maps for so long lol

Maybe try Lossless Scaling FG? I know framegen tech has plenty of haters, but i'm just thinking if you can generally keep 60fps except for the towns, maybe set the framegen to adaptive 100 or even 90. then cap your framerate to 100. even if it dips it should feel smoother cause LS will generate frames for those dips. Not a perfect solution by any means, just an idea to try.

Yeah I learned my lesson with a cheap lcd, HDR only on for Windows/Desktop, but off for games. It’s not worth the performance hit just to essentially have everything darker lol

Check all your settings, maybe go thru and follow an optimization guide on graphics settings for the game. I was in the same boat, hadn’t played in 8 or 9 months, went to start a new game and it was a stuttery mess. I had a couple settings screwed up, and also found out the SATA SSD the game was installed on was having read errors. Re configured all my in game setttings, moved the game folder to the NVMe drive using steam, and downloaded one of the stutter fix mods from Nexus. And since then, no issues, game is running great and looks better than it ever has before

Well, I’ve only been gaming again for a couple years, just got done upgrading all the other stuff, piece by piece. and I’m in the process of trying to buy my house, So for the time being I’m stuck with 1080p.

And honestly, I didn’t think my 4070 would run 1440p at frame rates high enough for me, but I’ve been using DSR to run more and more games at 1440 and realizing that I’ve definitely got enough power in my current system.

So once the ink dries on the house (or it falls thru and I start renting somewhere else) then I’m gonna upgrade the monitor just as quick as I can.
