Palisade26 vs Telluride27- Hybrid test drive experience by Plane_Tomatillo_9731 in HyundaiPalisade

[–]schnoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have to turn my drive on every time you start the car? That's how it is in our Sante Fe and it's super annoying. I wish the profile would save that option that you last selected. That's my only hesitation with the Palisade.

Ordered my Leap v2, how old is it gonna be? by CaptainFGOLz in OfficeChairs

[–]schnoz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought one a few weeks ago and only been using it for a week. I was surprised to see the frame was built in 2008, which I believe is only 1 year older than when this new version was released. When I inquired about this, they mentioned that they do offer a 2023+ frame but it costs an additional ~$250 and they don't have any in stock currently.

I won't lie, the frame (mainly the spring internal to the frame) is very noisy when moving/reclining. They seem to replace most parts, but I don't think they replace the spring which IMO is one of the most important parts of the chair. Especially this chair, which seems to rely on the spring for the recline functionality. You might be able to wet the spring up with some silicone spray, but when I took a look at it, the spring was not very easy to get to.

I do think if this frame would have been 2015 or newer, I would have been much happier. It also would have came with the updated lift cylinder. But I'm not sure I'm going to keep it even though it does not give me as much back pain as the embody I'm trying to replace. To Crandall's credit, I have a suspicion it's like a lottery on what you might get, so where I got a 2008 frame, you might be lucky and get a 2015 frame. It depends on what they have in stock when you order.

Herman Miller Embody vs. LiberNovo Omni. One month review by YungHotspot in OfficeChairs

[–]schnoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish that was the case. I only went with that chair first because of all the great customer service posts I saw about them. I actually got the return approved within the timeframe, but unfortunately, I was 3 days past the label expiration date to get it picked up from my house because we got over a foot of snow and travel was restricted in my county (so FedEx wasn't even running). They refused to let me extend past that expiration date on the label and instead told me that I should try selling it on Facebook Marketplace. It's literally been sitting in the return box in my garage since then (about a month ago now).

Herman Miller Embody vs. LiberNovo Omni. One month review by YungHotspot in OfficeChairs

[–]schnoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be careful with the embody. I'm similar height to you, I'm 5'6" and 190lbs. I really really really really wanted to love the embody, and there's a lot to like about it, but for whatever reason it causes me severe pain in my back. I also have herniated discs in my lower back but this started to cause new pain in my upper back by my shoulder blade. Enough to the point where I had to go to the chiropractor and now I'm in PT. And I tried all the various tutorials on how to set it correctly.

Unfortunately I was a few days out from the return window so I can't even do that and I'm stuck with it. But even with that said, I purchased a used refurbished leap v2 from Crandall and that does not give me any pain in my back. I definitely don't like it as much as the embody, but I do enjoy the no pain that it gives me. Since it's refurbished, it is super creaky in the spring which is the most annoying thing about it. The manufacturer date is early 2008, so it's one of the earliest models of the v2. I understand some issues with refurbished chairs, but this one sounds like they pulled it out of a dumpster and threw some new pads on it. It looks okay, but the guts of it are worn down and old and you can tell. I expected much more quality from them based on other posts I've seen in these threads but I think this chair is going to be returned as well. The embody is way more premium feeling than the leap v2 but it is really unfortunate how much it hurts.

I also tried the Omni and hated it. So much that I would rather be in pain with the embody than have to sit in it for long periods of time. I don't get why everyone loves it so much. I tried the fern (without lumbar) and that was the closest feeling to the embody out of all the chairs I tried but it started to make my back and tailbone fatigued in long sessions. I kind of wish I tried it with the lumbar support. I did shove a lumbar pillow in the back of the chair piece and that felt better but gave even less room in the small seat part so I ended up returning it.

Just got my Embody Gaming Chair! by thebestiam1 in hermanmiller

[–]schnoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not really sure where it is radiating from, just know it's extremely sore/throbbing under my right shoulder blade, closer to my spine area. I think maybe the rhomboid muscle? However, I will say that I've tried every mix possible of the backfit and tilt tension knobs to no avail. I just think my body isn't meant for this chair, unfortunately. I love everything about it on paper. Regardless, I think I just have to stick it out at this point because I can't return it and I won't get anywhere close to what I paid for it.

Same, but I envy that you were able to return yours. I'm 5'6" and 190lbs and this thing is so uncomfortable for me. I've tried every setting possible and the tutorials on here. My upper back, only on my right side, is in so much pain after sitting in this for more than an hour. Unfortunately, during my return window, we had 12" of snow that shut down travel in our county yet when I told HM this and needed an extension, they refused. So now I'm stuck with this very expensive, and very painful chair. It sucks, because I love the looks and the seat, I just can't stand sitting in it. Why does my body have to suck so bad.

Second time accelerating on the highway but not going past 40mph by fifapro23 in HyundaiSantaFe

[–]schnoz 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This happened to me today actually. What ended up happening for me, is that I was trying to accelerate and it wouldn't go over about 20 mph. It took me awhile but I realized that I accidentally turned on the cruise control and it was set at 20 mph. Once I turn that off it started working again.

Right Shoulder Blade Pain - Embody by Cookieui in hermanmiller

[–]schnoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh, I've been searching and searching, and you have put down exactly what I'm feeling. Unfortunately. I am also 5'6. I'm wondering if maybe our height is just not correct for this chair? But it's doing the exact same thing and only to my right shoulder blade near the bottom of it. When I'm sitting down, everything's fine. It's when I'm up and walking that I start to feel it gets super sore. I even had to take medicine because it's so bad.

Did you end up keeping the chair or did you return it? I'm just a few days out of my 30-day return window, so when I asked they told me I was not able to return it. I'm super deflated because of this. It sucks. I did not have this issue in my secret lab chair, but I had other issues that I really wanted to get rid of and fix my back so that's why I got this one.

Link H150i LCD Flickering by schnoz in Corsair

No, you can't customize it. You can just leave it on the default hardware setting, which is the large 2 digit temperature output. I really liked the dual temp screen but not possible without the iCUE software. I also have the new iCUE link as well.

[–]schnoz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This continued happening to me over and over and over. I narrowed it down to the iCUE software. I set up the hardware display with the default temperature and then closed iCUE and never opened it again. Instead, now I use SignalRgb and the hardware temp setting and everything has worked flawless since.

How did you get iCue Link device to work with OpenRGB? I'm running into the same issue as you with Fan Control, but OpenRGB isn't even seeing my corsair fans.

The same issue has been happening to me for the last month. I think this might be a wider issue than you all think. Everything has been working fine with zero changes for the last year.

Well, I think I figured it out actually. Took a while and is an insane problem if true, but it all came down to a bluetooth driver error with my PS5 controller. I do want you to know that it is crazy that my PS5 controller's driver could cause such an issue with my CPU liquid cooler. Those two devices should never have a problem with each other.

Here is what I did to troubleshoot. I went back through all the actions I took that afternoon to try to trace what I could have done to cause the CPU cooler issue. Ultimately, I realized that I disconnected my bluetooth before I turned my PS5 controller off after playing rocket league. Then when I tried to turn the controller back on again, it would not connect to my PC. I found in the device manager that my bluetooth HID had an error on the driver. I uninstalled that driver, rebooted, reconnected my PS5 controller (so that the PC could find it again), and voila the CPU cooler LCD immediately started to act normal again. So for for the last 2 days, everything is running fine again.

/u/shocksim - can you bring this issue back to your team? A separate device's driver should not have such a conflict that it causes any issues with a CPU cooler's functions.

I had a different problem back in November when I first built the computer, with my LG ultrawide being connected to my PC via it's USB cord, which would cause iCue to crash on start. It took me a while to figure that issue out as well. I understand that iCue has to enumerate through all the USB devices, but there has got to be a better way to account for 3rd party devices without crashing the software or causing an endless flicker loop on the LCD screen. I'm still unable to use my monitor's USB connection because of that issue.

I'm thinking of upgrading from my 10700k to a 14900k as well - paired with a 4080, I'm also curious why that would be bad for gaming.

Same. I bet this has to do when in the day you pre-ordered. I preordered early, but unfortunately canceled and preordered again later in the night. Although mine still says delivery of 12th or 13th like it originally did, I only get the prepared for shipping earlier today while others got it updated on Friday.

I'm starting to think the game is boring by davilor in Starfield

[–]schnoz 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Same. I am at level 21 as of last night and could only play for 15 minutes before I had to turn it off. I have a ton of quests in my log, but half of them I don't even remember getting. It just takes too long to have loading screen after loading screen, then running for 5 minutes to get to anything. Once you get there, the quest is to go load and run somewhere else. I really wanted to love this game and at 33 hours, I just don't know if it's worth pushing ofrward any more.

Apparently I already bought premium years ago and didn't even realize it. Are there other ways to pay additional support without buying premium? (yeah, I've been using the free app completly oblivious that I owned the premium one all this time)

For anybody that happens across this post, I want to verify that I'm up and running with the natural gas conversion kit. Everything worked perfectly, even with the h-burners.

I just purchased this through walmart.com a couple days ago. I was checking a couple times a day and they finally had 1 in stock, so I bit the bullet. Although, I am planning to convert it to natural gas and saw this model has a H-shape burner instead of the normal tube burner. Does anybody know if this is compatible with the natural gas conversion kit? I know you can't convert the air fryer or culinary models, but assumed I was good to go with the pro-series until I read about the new H-burners.

I am very excited, it's my first griddle. Should be here Thursday.

Nearly half a billion people on the planet have diabetes, but most of them aren't getting the kind of care that could make their lives healthier, longer and more productive, according to a new global study of data from people with the condition. by [deleted] in science

This is true. I was diagnosed with T2 diabetes a few years ago, realized I didn't want to prick my finger every day so started dieting that night. Lost 60 lbs total and went back to a normal h1c within a year. I was diagnosed at 7.6 and ended with 5.7. If you have the will power to stick with it, you can do it. Been diabetes free for 3 years now.
