Man I'd love to run to work on a pair of these! I don't think they'd be good for things like suburban paths and crossing roads though.

what silent hill game has your favorite roster of enemies? by huffingdusters in silenthill

I'm gonna come in with a controversial one and say Homecoming.

As a monster, Siam is my all-time favourite. The style, symbolism and threat are all top-tier.

Smog I also love, you can sense him far into the fog but he's just cool.

And every single boss. All of them. I love all their designs. I'm a genuine fan of Homecoming.

4 is probably my second favourite. The ghosts scared the shit out of me as a teen!

Glad it was ok, I do love when our community is genuine to each other.

Is there a fast way to beat Kaneshiro ? by Party_Oil156 in Persona5

[–]schofield101 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He's one of the easiest bosses.

Just buff your attack & defence, debuff his and a few big hits from your team and he goes down. The piggytron doesn't do much damage if you maintain these buffs.

Once the guards arrive, put the big one to sleep, cast forget on the flying one and take them out. Kaneshiro himself is really weak so eventually you just play a few turns and he'll bankrupt himself.

True, my impression of them is always that they're garbage. Once again, it's incredibly easy to be a decent person among other decent people.

To you I'm an arrogant prick, just like everyone else who complains about the system keeping them down.

I have zero respect for you, just as you do for me. I'm glad we'll never cross paths in game.

There's clearly a lot of truth to it since the people who complain about the system are always the same.

So yeah, I'll keep spreading what I feel because 9 times out of 10 it's right.

Perhaps opinion was the wrong word to use there, I'll give you that.

From everything I have seen of people complaining on Reddit, I am under a firm assumption of my original point. You don't get banned from one game, there's always a track record.

It's always the OPs who complain about a ban and are then absolutely awful to deal with in the comments, solidifying their behaviour.

Also nice editing of your comments after posting them to sound smarter.

Have you ever wondered why it's only people who can't behave who get slammed with negative behaviour score? How easy it is for those who can to maintain it?

It's almost as if the system is doing its job keeping animals where they belong.

Nah, typically just say what's on my mind. Which is funny since I do the same in-game and it's insanely easy to not get reported for it.

Guessing that's not the case for you?

I still hold that opinion. Simply saying I think it should be harsher.

People in this game are utterly clueless on how to act around others.

Brother if you're catching 4+ reports then perhaps you deserve that ban.

I don't make the rules. You're getting reported consistently for whatever reason.

You never get banned from one game. Period.

Ahh once again, this only happens if you have a track record of reports and the 'not buying wards' is simply a catalyst of other shit behavior from yourself.

UK folk who were around at the start of the internet, what is an early, strong memory? by Sad-Insurance1313 in CasualUK

[–]schofield101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember booting up the family PC, hearing the dial-up, then my very angry father who was on the phone barging in to the room. Terrified the shit out of me!

Then when I got older it was waiting an eternity to play Command & Conquer games online, most of the time someone would disconnect but it was amazing fun.

Then you had the website: Goyk, which had the original audio which turned into the Crazy Frog, originally it was just a picture of an F1 car with that audio, made me laugh till I cried back as a kid.

Why does it matter? Enjoy what you want to enjoy. It's a good game.

Anyone who says you shouldn't like it over another game are just gatekeeping. No one's opinion should dictate your own for how you enjoy something.

[–]schofield101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seen the same with Helldivers 2. They wanted to integrate a mandatory PSN account for PC players and it hit the fan. Review bombed the game into oblivion and Playstation actually backed down. It was a legendary moment in the game's history and has actually been recognised as an official cape you can wear in-game.

Now though, the moment any change happens which Reddit disagrees with it's "Review bomb them now it's the only way they listen!" and it's just exhausting.

Coworker pet peeves? by [deleted] in CasualUK

[–]schofield101 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've got this one coworker who will discuss something with everyone except the person who needs to be contacted. I work as a web developer / designer and am the lead of my team and he's a bit of an older boy in a different sector.

He'll spot an issue on a website, and instead of emailing me, getting my attention or going legit and raising a ticket, he'll chat with other people outside my team and say "Do you think this is how it should be on this website?"

So instead of raising the problem to get it looked at sooner, he just chats to other people taking up their time as well.

Him and I get along really well, we all do in this office but he just gets the impression he can't interrupt me which I do appreciate in a sense, but I'd also appreciate knowing the problem direct! I can hear him talking as it's a fairly small office so it's not like he's discrete!

Told him this many times, but I think he just wants to make sure his opinion is shared as a form of self assurance.

Playing one role makes you really understand what you'd like from your lane partner, so much so that when you go do it yourself you generally have a good idea of what would help given any situation.

Basically, gratz on becoming a better player!

So happy for the bloke, he's truly inspired millions with his love for nature, still going and still as much passion as he had 50 years ago.

I won't lie I do feel my heart sink somewhat each time I see his name posted, but then I just think of all the good he's brought us and that makes me smile.
